Part of the IV team.. Ultrasound and Extended dwell/midlines.

Sure, I'll gladly do IVs for the entire hospital, not like I have my own 5 patients to care for. Lol

I was in business for 8 years... hated it. Went back to school to become a nurse and am now an ER nurse. Took a pay cut, but that will rebound in time with some more experience. I would do it again in a heart beat. Best decision I've ever made. Went from hating going to work every day to enjoying it... plus 4 days off a week aint too shabby either. Good luck.

If you ever want to meet up to talk about nursing let me know. I'm not too far from Chandler.

2 more hours and I start day 1 of 3 in a row. :woot:

Been a rough week, above average busy for midnights, and we just cleared out a 5 victim 2 car accident with a full ER on top of it tonight. Hope everyone else is having a good shift.

My floor has been a mess lately. We're supposed to be the Post Op and ACLS/Tele floor. We've become Detox,Psych,Medicine,Hospice,Infectious Disease, Post op, ACS/Tele/ACLS/ border line Stepdown unit with Trachs, and neuro on top of serving as an OBS unit for the ER since they can admit people for "surgical consult" which falls under us...

annnnd we still don't have enough supplies, or personnel, and we're losing 4 more RN's this month.... We were 52% manned WITH them...

    Save us.

Not an RN, but work with them directly in the ER since I'm in Radiology (Rad/CT).

I work with all the ER nurses as a CLA in the ER lab.. All the comments about maggots had me crackin up.. We deal with that stuff all the time.. & the crazy psych patients..

I got my acceptance letter awhile back & I start nursing school in two weeks.. Headed toward a career path as an ER murse.
