It's my daily commuter, about 60 miles round trip. I've only towed once with and other than hauling some firewood and lumber it rarely sees a heavy load.

If I had a car I'd use it like a truck. Wouldn't mind getting a daily beater for gas mileage and taking wear and tear off my truck though.

Between deer hunting and home projects it's absolutely impossible to be without it. I'm not going to be that guy that has to call friends to get something hauled and be on their time and availability.

My truck has never been off road, just dirt roads I used to drive my car on with no problems, so I don't really NEED a 4x4 truck, but I like the way a truck feels, I like sitting higher, and the 4 wheel drive is nice when it snows heavy. But yeah, my Tacoma mostly gets used as a car. With a big trunk.

Daily driver to my desk job.

I'm a homeowner and do a lot of projects so I use it to move drywall, lumber, and the like.

Camping trips 1-2 times a year.

    Helping family and friends periodically.

    Little of both.

Daily driver as a college student. Gets used as a truck when pulling the box trailer moving in or out of school. During the summer it gets used about 4x a week towing the boat or jet ski. Always throw tools and materials in the back at work ( siding houses). Plus the i fill the entire bed with gear when the girlfriend and i go camping

If I didn't need a truck I would most likely have a Cadillac, lol. However, the handful of times each year that I needed a truck, I was glad to have one, i.e., furniture for baby's room, new fridge, new washer and dryer, when I moved houses a few ago and for when I move in a few months, camping trips, house projects, landscape projects, etc. My main use for getting the truck in the first place was for my dirtbikes and quads. Ended up selling them all off when my daughter was born. Hoping to get some more again when she's a little older and convince her to ride as well, lol.

Had a few full sized p/u's when I was into a lot of remodeling of the house. Got my first DC because I had a kid that needed a seat in the back. Found I could do everything I needed like tow a boat, dump runs, deer hunt, etc.. with the tacoma and never turned back. I'm on my third, hence 3coma, and caught the bug modding this one. It's also my commuter for now, but once my daughter graduates in 3 years i'm definitely getting something faster. I'll keep the truck for its utility, but I could use a shot of adrenaline.

i use it for transportation , it is my daily, but i also fish with it.

i also pull a small boat with it.

i dont do any hard core off roading, most of the 4wd duty is in the sand when i fish.

I got by for years without a truck, but it is really nice now that I have it. I can do 90% of what I do now with a car, but I'm having a ton of fun with that last 10%

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
To and from work. To and from the trail. Wheel it at every opportunity.

If you're a home owner, you need a truck. Even if you only carry an occasional load.

I actually downgraded from a 3/4 ton Cummins Dodge. Bought it to tow my family hunting camper around, then my uncle abruptly decided to sell it for pennies with no input from me. So I wasn't hauling anything other than firewood for camping and whatever went in there when people asked me to help them move. :censored: I went offroad regularly, but just two summers worth of that yielded enough pinstripes and body dings to make it clear I needed something smaller.

Here we are. A truck that can wheel better, but still haul my mountain bike, enough gear for an overland trip, and/or odd materials from hardware stores when I get bored and start projects on the weekend.

I fish a lot. I mean a lot. So I am always carrying shit in the bed. I recently bought a boat that will be delivered in about a month, so I'll be towing it a lot. I will offroad sometimes, but it isn't my thing.

I carry my load daily. :rofl:All kidding aside I went one year without a Tacoma and I hated it. I use mine
for work as a Territory Manager calling on Industrial Facilities so I need something manly so my customers
don't laugh at me. :anonymous: I've towed jet skis and race bikes. Load it up with yard work, roofing shingles,
mtn bikes, and Labrador Retrievers. A man needs to have his truck. :mudding:

I don't quite understand how what someone else spends their hard earned money on irks so many. They bought the vehicles and see fit how they want to use them.

All work and no play. I'm a carpenter, so never empty the bed. (Except when the mess gets too much and I have to pull everything out and put it back nicely...)

    I use it like a car with a big trunk I can get dirty. My car has plenty of hauling power, but limited capacity. Recent trip to home cheapo;

The looks I get when I roll a cart to the car and someone thinks I'm just checking it out then start loading up are priceless.
