Such a n00b question here, but I'll make it easy to answer...Is that the spacer? Does it just slide on top of the coilover assembly and get tightened down to the mount? spacer2.jpg

    Correct.

1/4 spacer simply sits on TOP of the strut top plate.
You don't disassemble the strut assembly to install a spacer.

I'm running Nitros (OME) with 884s and a 1/4 spacer on the drivers side...both sides match :)

Longer studs will be needed for spacers TALLER then 1/4...

Very cool, thanks a lot for the details. Were you able to achieve the full 3" with that setup after any potential settling?

1/4" spacer on the drivers side with one additional turn on the Icon coilovers and still a slight lean.

Are you guys looking at the truck with a microscope? I have never noticed any lean. If anyone can notice a 1/4 or 3/8 lean on a big truck like this i will kiss your ass in public.

The attention to detail your referring to is more then cosmetic...when installing a lift, you want both sides to match.
I wouldn't concern myself with 1/4" difference and like you, doubt anyone would notice.

In my case I had a 1/2" difference, so I started to review my options and ask the Tacoma Brotherhood.
    A 1/4" strut spacer equals 1/2" difference at the fender...problem solved :D

Let me close by saying "Thank you Tacoma Brotherhood for your assistance".
    It is appreciated, honest

When it's installed to eliminate the drivers side lean where does the 1/2" lift effect? The front or the rear?

I had to use a 3/8” spacer for both my tacomas i lifted. A 1/4” was not enough for me

Okay. I'm only getting about a 2.5" lift. But does it raise the front end higher or the back. I may be confusing. only asking cause if it raises the rear I'm going to get the appropriate coils in the front to match the rears height
