Every damn time I go out with somebody who gets a drink, they walk out with my damn cup holder still attached to their drink. Is this just a me problem?

Happened to me the other day. Took a second to realize what happened. The cup holders are fucking garbage.

I have done it several times. When I first got the truck, I walked into my office several times with the cup holder attached to my cup. Didn’t even realize it until I went to put my drink down.

One got stuck to a bottle I threw away at a truck stop once. Didn't realize it was gone until I was 100 miles away. Had to buy another one. It pisses me off that it gets stuck to my yeti cup

My Yeti bottle barely fits in it. I usually just pull the cupholder out and throw it somewhere when I need it for that.

The one behind the shifter is the perfect size. Why can't the fronts be that way?

Appears that Toyota fixed that problem on the Gen 3's. I don't have removable cup holder inserts on mine, nor have I seen them on any other Gen 3.
My wife's 2016 Corolla has the same issue, kinda. It has to be a pretty fat bottle/cup/can to get hung up on.

The cup holders suck but I use the insert for spitting sunflower seeds into if I dont have a cup or bottle handy

I don't even know what inserts you guys are talking about. Mine has no inserts in any of the cup holders.

It is cheaper now than when I bought mine I gave 35.00 for mine but it works real good and is adjustable too.
My original cup inserts now hold nuts and bolts on my workbench.
