Does anybody have a Brute Outdoors cooler? They are similar to the Yeti but cheaper.

Bought one in the P.I. Last year and it has served me well, to purchase at full price I would go with a fridge/freezer. As coolers go it does one heck of a good job and on any long trips I smile each time my friends marvel at the ability to produce cold drinks.

I own a 45 and use two of the 125's for work - they perform well, generally keeping ice a day or two longer than our other coolers. Got the 45 for $165 from REI after 20% off and my annual dividend.

Love my 65, other than how it basically sags the truck when its loaded down! and it freezes my drinks sometimes...

I was actually about to email them for any discounts they might offer. I was looking at them a lot back in Aug/sept and still think I like them the best out of all the higher end coolers offered. I was confused too when I went back to the site and the name had been changed

This post is just full of wins!!! Yeti's not only hold ice longer, they actually drop the temperature of it's contents below freezing...

    Check the build!
I'm not impressed with my Yeti, at all. Sure, it holds ice, but not really any longer than my friends', who have Pelicans, Igloos, etc. I knocked mine over a few weeks ago and water was coming out of the seal between the lid and the cooler body. I called Yeti and they said they couldn't make it air-tight, due to pressure issues and the lid blowing open or something. However, I've been hearing that the old Yeti's (pre-2010ish) were a lot better, before they sold out to a Chinese company. My fiend has an older Yeti and you almost have to get a screwdriver to pop open the lid sometimes; his cooler holds ice way longer than mine. I got my Yeti as a Christmas present a few years ago and I'm going to keep using it until it dies, but when it's time to get a new cooler, I'll definitely be shopping around. Other downsides are the lack of room and the weight. I have a friend who paid half the price for a Pelican and it holds 2-3 times the amount of mine and weighs about half, as well.

However, I also have the Yeti 16 oz. aluminum tumbler and the aluminum coozie for my bee…..eh….root beers :D and I love both of them. My 16 oz tumbler will easily hold ice overnight and the doozie keeps my brews cold

They keep ice longer than my coleman. Just gotta watch and make sure they don't grow legs.
