    Hello Folks ;
    I recently put a Magnuson Supercharger on my '17 Tacoma and frankly, I'm not at all impressed!
    I understand that with the current 90mm pulley it produces around 6psi of boost. I'd like to add about 6 psi to that (knowing full well the warranty would be voided). Can this engine handle it?
    Another quick question: Are this Atkinson engine's pistons forged or hypereutectic as to handle the boost? Knowledgeable replies much appreciated

    From the TT thread, anything over about 10psi will require fuel system upgrades. FP Controller and different direct injectors. That's about a $2k bill, but the FPC and matching pump is generally unavailable.

    I am not 100% certain that it applies to the S/Cs, but the problems noted were real.

    Stock and staying that way
    I would wager the pistons aren’t forged. Way too quiet when cold.

    I wouldnt go past 7psi on a stock bottom end personally, there's no history of 2GR's failing but I've seen the old 1GR and 3UZ motors fail from supercharger load.

    I would say you need to get a professional tune next. It can make the power more useable.

    I installed the twin turbos on my Tacoma and initially targeted 9-10 psi safely on the base kit with no fuel upgrades. But I'm pretty sure I was pushing limits there and running out of fueling for sure. When I backed it down to 7psi, I immediately noticed regained power.

    Really beyond that 7psi fuel wall, you're going to be needing fueling upgrades like @tonered mentioned.

    Sent you a PM OP.

    Huh? Are you claiming that most people would consider a 6000 rpm redline too low? I doubt most people have revved the engine anywhere near that.

    Also what do you mean the transmission is tuned to use the highest gear (6th) at all times? It certainly uses the other 5 gears when needed.

    Since this thread has been revived, and more as a reply to the OP, YotaWerx Tuning has an aftermarket tune available for the 3GT with MagSC. Just a heads up.
