How many retention hooks on the passenger side of your double cab tacoma? Getting ready to order floor mats. Truck is coming in the next 3-8 days and I would like to have the mats soon. I am looking at weather techs.... A little leary though because of thier track record for length of time for the delivery.

I have a 2010 TRD OR Access Cab (six speed), and it has two passenger side retention hooks. Not sure if that helps.

I am extremely pleased with the Weathertechs.

I have a 2011 DC TRD Sport, and have weather tech floor mats as well. I ordered the passenger side without floor hook holes, as it is an option on the website when you order online. The mats fit so well that there is really no requirements for hooks on the passenger side, as it is simply a couple of areas for moisture to sneak to the floor.

    My two cents!!!

    0. So it must depend on the year of your truck. Not sure what year they began putting in retention hooks on the passenger side.

The hooks are removable anyways. Do yourself a favor and order the mats without the holes. When you get them, pull all the hooks from your truck and seal up the holes of the drivers mat with black silicone. You'll be glad you did.

After this whole "unintended acceleration fiasco", did Weathertech change the design of their drivers side liner again?

Anyone have a pic of the drivers side that Weathertech is currently shipping? The first design was good, then they switched to a second designed mat that really sucked (this is the one I had originally), then they came out with a third design that I currently have and it works well. Their second design (which really sucked) had a large cutout under the fuel pedal as they were worried about it causing an issue with a stuck pedal - this was years before the unintended acceleration claims, so I'm wondering if they went back to their inferior design?
