How Many Tacomas Are Produced In Each Color?

Sure, but some have better resale.
I bought my white for about 4k cheaper than a calvary blue or cement at the time. I really didn't want white, but I made the most of it. I'm not complaining.

My guess is that white is the most popular for the same reason that white is most popular color on the inside of homes. People are afraid limiting their resale market by choosing a more aggressive color. I’m not sure if it is paranoia or not. My ex painted all our walls vibrant colors. I hope I’m ok.

 

My truck is the only vehicle I ever picked the color and also the only vehicle I ever made payments on.

 

Lol I googled 2022 top automotive paint colors and copied from Dupont I think.

I have been buying vehicles for so long, this thread made me think of my rules again:
1. Intended use.
2. Reliable, durable
3. Do I fit *6'4" 260lb
4. Comfort
5. Options
6. Color

So many things have to happen before color I don't have a lot of preference on color lol

I love the look of the red but I do have concerns about it fading in the AZ sun, so I’ll give you that!

 

I hear you on this. Lots comes before color. Important to stick to our rules and prioritize accordingly. For me, my needs are best met by a double cab 4x4 V6 OffRoad Tacoma. Thankful that, even in this market, there were two allocations that met those needs plus had the options that I wanted. I’ve checked all the boxes and now it’s come down to choosing between 2 colors.

I get in about white in SC. I grew up in Florida and live in AZ. I’ve only had white or super light vehicles and they’re great in the heat - Red or Army Green, this upcoming truck will be a departure for me!

 

Are those global colors?

White and black (white in the hot parts, black in the temperate parts) rule the rest of the planet and probably skew the data some.

United States has a pretty vibrant cross section of vehicle colors compared to most anywhere.

 

Idk for all years but if I had to guess the ranking in terms of popularity it would probably be:

Super White, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Midnight Black Metallic/Black, Silver Sky Metallic, Barcelona Red Metallic, Cement, Quicksand, Blazing Blue Pearl, Inferno, Army Green, Voodoo Blue, Cavalry Blue, Celestial Silver Metallic, Blue Crush Metallic, Lunar Rock, Wind Chill Pearl, Electric Lime Metallic

The only other numbers I know is that there are only 492 (417 DCSB, 75 ACLB) units of the 2015 TRD Pro in Inferno

Things changed.. we had red paint problem long time ago but not anymore...

There are products that bring 'showroom look' paint back... Look online for it.

 

White walls in homes helps with natural lights.. that's why.. Light colors helps too as long as it looks good for home value. Such as light gray, Light blue, etc.

 

Back in May of 2021 before the market lost it's mind and there were actually choices in stock at the dealership, I looked at inventory online and found the truck with the options/packages I wanted. It happened to be an MGM long bed. I was ok with the long bed and that's actually come in handy a few times. Color was the last thing I considered. It would have to be some wildly obnoxious color for me to rule it out based solely on that.

 

Army Green is discontinued for 2023!

 

I wanted black until I got it.
Never again.

Hot.
Doesn't stay clean for more than 20 minutes.
So much time and effort to make her look good.
Did I mention hot?

But, every time I look at her I smile, I guess it's worth it(?)

Problem is I don't know what other color I would want...I guess I have to align with the color is inconsequential crowd.

Between your choices I would not mind the Green.

That color seemed a little intense for non Pro Tacomas.

 

All three of my second gens were red — two Barcelona. All three faded. One was garaged while at home.

My 2019 is Cement. Couldn’t be happier with it.

 

All i know is i've had red, white, blue, and silver toyota pickups from the 70's to 2020. Seems those colors are on everything with wheels. I was tired of owning a truck with a color everyone has. Just had to have something different that reminded me of my 1966 gto back in the day. Quicksand was the closest.
