Quicksand is such a great color. Was sad when they discontinued it.

Good to know re: red fading. Wondering if Army Green will have that same issue? Though it’s not metallic like the Red, not sure how that plays into it. Cement is an awesome color - not surprised you’re happy with it. Seems like it would hold up really well too. If Cement was still an option, that’d be high on my list.

I would be totally happy if the right truck happened to be an MGM - I always admire them in that color. Handsome truck. I hear you, though - options/packages/etc > color. For sure. The long bed has treated you well? That’s one factor I’m not sure about. I’m coming from a nimble SUV and I live in a pretty high-traffic area, so I’m inclined toward a short bed for ease of parking/maneuvering. But the long bed can really come in handy. Always curious about other people’s experience.

I was a very big fan of the Army Green color, until I saw it everywhere in Hawaii. Don't get me wrong, the Army Green is a beautiful color, but I'm glad I went with Lunar Rock because in certain lighting conditions (especially at night), it looks like Cement Grey.

As far as common production colors, I think the basic colors like white, black, grey, silver are produced more than the "exclusive," colors like Voodoo Blue, Quicksand, Lunar Rock, etc. especially with the new Electric Lime green. I am yet to see one here on the roads of Hawaii.

Mine is Super White. White is the most common color globally. I bet at least 50% of Tacomas are White considering how many I see on the road. Magnetic Gray seems to be second.

Ah man that’s so funny about all the Army Greens in Hawaii. After my initial Barcelona Red got stuck in limbo at port for months, I put a second hold on an Army Green Off-Road and it’s looking more and more like that’s what I’ll be getting. Crazy thing is I’ve never seen an Army Green in person. And I was just in Hawaii last month - if only I’d known then that I would be getting an Army Green Tacoma, apparently I would’ve seen a bunch of them! Lol

Lunar Rock’s a nice color. I’ve seen that one in person and it looks fantastic. There was a Lunar Rock allocation available but it didn’t have the options I needed and I decided color wasn’t as important as certain other features. So I went with the AG and now I’m hoping I like it how looks in person Lol

FWIW: I'd love to get one of those cool metallic transitions that goes from blue to purple depending on the light and angle.

None to speak of, just enjoying it for the moment.
I told my dealer white and black were deal breakers, would have preferred Lunar Rock then Army Green, wound up with MGM and am very happy. Dealer says they expect to take delivery in the next 48hrs! I can hardly wait!

Idk about great. I mainly got it for being different from all the common colors i see every day. My favorite was the inferno red, but thats history to. Biggest issue with that color is leaving the truck outside 24/7...it fades over time. I wonder if a ceramic coating on it would help.

Fading with the inferno red, or the quicksand? I assume the red. I’m in the desert and will leave my truck outside 24/7 so a paint color’s potential for fading is definitely a consideration. At the moment I’m choosing between a Barcelona Red and an Army Green.

Congrats! MGM is really handsome, I’d be happy with that too.

    Oh look, another mod....

See? Even Toyota doesn't call it "Blue Crush", they call it what it REALLY is:
