How many Tacomas have you had?

I've had an 2007, Tacoma, a 2019 Tacoma SR (current) and a 1993 4Runner that I put nearly 470k on.

 

I'm on red Tacoma number 4.

 

Have had a 1998 Extra cab silver 4x4 179K miles 3 three years Dowley Lift Kit. It was a goat!
Gen 1 2003 SR5 Double Cab Prerunner white original Weld Rock Crusher Rims. Miss that truck every day. 219,147K mile original owner 10 years
Gen 2 2007 standard cab gold 2wd 91k miles 3 years
Current Gen 3 2018 Extra cab pre runner 2wd 59k miles 5 years and going.
Planing on my next Tacoma, but not Gen 4. not really what I want. I like the manual E-Brake. Will stay in the Gen 3 family for now!

Started off with a 2008 white two door non locker nuthin’. Man, I remember seeing the first silver Sport long bed 4x4 up close. What envy. Many moons passed that led to some fun times in the desert in a 2010 silver Pre-Runner until I went to Hungry Valley and tried climbing a small hill from a stop. Yup, took the HUGE loss and traded it in for a 2010 silver Off Road which only lasted two years when the 2012’s came out. Yup, couldn’t hang in me younger days and had to have the smallish redesigned silver Off Road. With ALL the 4x4 controls. Then I saw that 3rd Gen Them damn 9’ oak ties didn’t help any! So I took the jump in 2017 with the current SR5 4x4 with the Harrop anytime locker.

These are the only pictures I have. I lost the others in the many Apple device transfers over the years. RIP Brian. We miss you everyday. Shoutout to Frankie aka C10 that I passed over to my niece.

94 , 97, 2003. 2006, and my current 2021. All were great except the 2003. That was a Toyota certified blah blah blah that was wrapped around a tree. And put back into circulation.With a clean car-fax . Owned it for a month before trading it in on the 2006.

I have had 4 tacomas. First one was a 93 Midnight blue 4 cyl MT Xtra cab , 98 Black V6 MT Xtra cab , 2004 Silver V6 AT Double Cab, 2008 Speed Way blue V6 AT Double cab TRD Sport and now 2021 Barcelona Red V6 AT TRD Sport. Some I could not find pics of but have them somewhere.

 

I've had 3. A 2001 first gen, love the way that one handled, a 2005 2nd gen, didn't like it as much, and a 2021 3rd gen, currently happy with it.

 

Three Tacomas.

First was a 2nd Gen double cab (standard package with those horrible stock shocks - 250K miles), then a 2015 3rd Gen TRD Sport (I learned that the Sport package came with upgraded shocks - 110K miles) and my current 2017 TRD Sport - 77K miles so far.

Current truck is my favorite. I was glad to get so many miles from the Gen 2 but it was worse for wear by then - especially the paper thin tailgate.

 

Owned a 88 xtra cab 2.4 manual 4x4 5 speed which was a gem ... unfortunately so nice that it was stolen. Then purchased a 96 4x4 extra cab 6 banger manual ... but never hit the mark. I now own a 2022 TRD OR 4x4 manual which I really enjoy.

 

My first new vehicle was a 1985 Toyota pickup so base that I had to pay $60 more to get radial tires. Recently I got a 2013 SR5 4x4 with low miles, love it.
