    Hey everyone,
    So i installed a 20inch double row 120 Watt LED bar in the front with my BAMF mount. I bought these all on a GB here from illumination supply. I'm sure others got them as well.

    Does anyone know how many watts these harnesses can handle? I wanted to hook up 2 duallys to the hood hinge on the same harness/switch.
    16 watts x 2 plus the 120 light bar. I've seen that they can handle up to 130 watts. Will i fry the harness with 136 or so watts?

    It's a question of amperage. If your running 136 watts, that would be 11.3 amps. Are you running your own wiring? It's best to run lights off of relays.

    I'm running a 20" and two 8" bars total of 17 amps at 200 watts in one 40amp relay with I think 18 gauge wire. Might be thicker I can't remember. Been fine though. But yeah it's all about the relay amps. Most have a 40amp or maybe 30 relay. Should be just fine as long as the wire gauge on your harness isn't wimpy. What's the relay and wire gauge on it?

    I just purchased one of the relays from illumination supply, looks like 18 gauge also, and came with a 20amp fuse in the fuse slot. But who's to say I cant just replace that with a higher amp fuse? I'm not sure how many amps its rated for. which is what i'm concerned with. I want to add 2 more led pods. How do i measure how many amps that light bar is drawing?

    Fuses are there to protect the wire from melting. If you change to bigger fuses and draw too much you're going to burn up your wires. Heres some equations to show what you will draw. You know your voltage is a 12 volt supply.

    Watts= volts x amps
    volts = watts÷ amps
    amps= watts ÷volts

    When in doubt, do your own wiring. I would just purchase a new relay and fuse and run 12 gauge wire just to be extra safe. I know you bought the harness already but, that sounds like a cheap harness made for maybe the pods alone. But really it's probably fine. Just feel the wires when your first hook it up and check it often. If it gets pretty warm, then I'd change it out. Mine gets a little warm, but not hot. I plan to 're-do all my wiring eventually with 12 gauge. And be sure to get high quality auto wore and not speaker wire;)

    It was originally a harness with 2 deutsch adapers at the end. Wires look pretty heavy duty, about 18 gauge if i can read that tiny writing. I just wanted to have the led bar plus the 2 pods controlled by the same switch. Is it bad to splice another set of wires to power the pods?

    Thanks for those equations...i forgot my physics days.
