Not much compared to some of you. Probably why it's been so hard to find ammo. Right now I have quite a bit by my standards since I am going desert shooting in a couple weeks.

    ~600 rds of .40
~150 shotgun shells (mix of 00 and target shells)
    ~350 rds of .223/5.56

I just roll my own ammo. Buy the components in bulk (esp if they are on sale) and crank away with my dillons. Then range time and burn through several hundreds and stop when my arms/shoulder starts to hurt.:D

Now defensive type of ammo, hmmm lets see, more than I need but less than what I really want. :(

I put 250 to 1000. Probably more than 1000 though. But in a good year of waterfowl hunting, I'll go through 500 rounds. So the rest is just in case......

I generally keep a couple loaded magazines and a couple boxes in the truck. My house, well - I keep a little more than that. ;)

    Nothing at the moment
Not sure why I do it, but I pick up three 20 rd. boxes of .223 every time I go to the local sporting goods store. Currently have about 300 rounds of .223 in a dry box. Have about 100 rounds of 12 gauge, 100 rounds of .270, 100 rounds of .40 (which is used and replaced quite regularly), 50 rounds of 9mm, and 50 rounds of .45.

If I do the math right, that's about 700 rounds, not including what's already locked and loaded, or in my jump bag in the trunk of my car.

Just burned through a few hundred rounds and have not restocked yet. Thankfully I've got 20 gold dots + 5 TMJs in my mags ready for any incident

And 1 in the chamber of course
