Thinking of selling/trading my 2019. It's a fine truck, but I should have went full sized. Live and learn, I suppose.

I think my 16 OR with 50k miles was like 27k when I traded it on my 17

I've been thinking about a Ford with a 5.0 (I'm one of those old farts that's not sold on that new fangled turbo stuff). A Tundra would be good, too. I've never been a GM guy, but I'm not too opposed.

Truth is, I'm 50 years old and fat, LOL. My mind says 30, but I need to get a little realistic and look at some Grandpa trucks.

I've never really been a domestic guy per se, but those newer Ford super dutys are sweet. Spacious and comfortable to drive long distances. I was going to get a new '19 silverado before getting my tacoma, but I came to terms and I really didn't have any use for a full size.

I got 14k for my ‘08 Tundra. I’m sure I could’ve gotten more if I had sold it privately but it was enough and saved me the hassle of having to do it.

As someone who is looking to buy a 2020 as my first truck, I'm curious why you think you should have gone full size?

Really, just overall space and comfort, maybe a bit easier to get in and out of and situated in.

The Tacoma is great, it’s track record speaks for itself, but a little more room and a tick more performance would be nice.

If you haul or tow or care about GVWR a full size is a way better choice. My Tacoma with a pretty mild build by TW standards was at GVWR with me and my dog and no camping gear loaded. In its defense it handled it fine and I didn’t realize how fat it was until I had it on on a scale. I also tow a fair amount and 10-11mpg and winding the engine out at 4k rpm on any small incline just isn’t fun. My new 2500HD does everything better except fit on tight trails/parking spots and gets way, way better fuel economy than my Tacoma ever did, even when unmodified.

I'll definitely go test drive one but full size is just too big for my needs. Had an 07 Titan and loved it but
the gas cost was nuts and it's just me unless me and the wife go somewhere and I never tow anything
so the the taco is perfect for my needs. I am curious as to how the new one will differ in looks and size
as they're both going to be on the same platform soon.

GVWR is a concern, but my current sailboat/trailer combo weighs less than 2000lbs, even if I bought a bigger boat in the next 10 years it's not going to crack 4000lbs. We do go camping a few times a year, so I could see buying a small Camper that's somewhere between 3000-4000lbs. Which the Taco should be able to handle. But my wife will want to upgrade her Explorer in the next couple of years so we might upgrade to an Expedition and then that can tow a Camper.

I just listed mine for sale: 2019 TRDOR DC AT with Premium and Tech packages and 4,300 miles.

KBB claims it is worth around $35,000 on this corner of the universe. I’m asking $35,500. I’ll post how much it sells for.

A little over a year ago I traded my 2017 2.7 SR5 AC for a 2018 TRD OR 4WD. They gave me $22k for it as part of the trade and it had 17K miles on it at the time.

I just traded in my 2019 2wd SR Utility Package Tacoma last night. KBB had the trade value at $19,256 on the low, and the gave me just under that. I had a crack in the bed, albeit very small (F@#$ing Kayaks)...

    But I walked out with a 2019 TRD Sport 4X4 6MT.
