    Hi kdttocs,
Do you know how to search for actual inventory in the SoCal area? I'm looking for rare combo incl. 6-sp MT and can be patient. Here's what I have tried so far:
    • http://www.toyota.com/search-inventory/ horrible, shows cars miles away and tells you they are in your zip, shows cars that don't exist
    • cars.com, autotrader.com etc can search by zip and radius (great!) but I don't trust that it's up to ate and all cars are shown there
    • individual dealer sites - might be good if up to date but very tedious

    Hi folks,
I'm original ordered a red limited, but I went to see it today in person and I'm not very impressed, sorry if I offended you limited folks. So we talk with the salesman and we came up with this. It is kind expensive but I really like it. I read and I know that we can buy an OR and upgrade it to Pro. But to be honest, I don't want to mess with factory set up and I'm not very good at lifting. So just let me know if this is the good deal or I just suck it up.
Ps: because I'm buying out of state so that not including the tax. With the tax it is around 45500

Finally made a deal today. I originally looked at having this transferred from Dallas to Houston, but was going to have to pay the full OTD price of $42K. So I contacted the dealership in Dallas directly and he gave me a first time OTD price of $40,072. I think because this one has been sitting for a few weeks and they needed to move it. But I'm very happy to move it in to my garage!
Quicksand 4X4 TRD Sport, DCSB, Tech pakg w/jbl, tow pakg, mud guards, premium carpet, predator tube steps, protection package (sealant junk). Happy to save $2K on the truck I want. Flying up to Dallas (for $200) to get it. Sales guy is even going to pick me up from the airport and have it ready!
This is proof that if you want a good deal, find the dealership that has what you want and get it from the lot.

Great deal! May even be a little lower than I'm getting at $40K OTD with same config but a few more things.

I paid about 4K more for an off-road. I'd say that is a hella good deal for that rig

Guys, I am looking at a 17 DCSB off road with the Tech package and JBL. The MSRP is $39,330 and he will come down to $36,579. I think this is a very good deal but would prefer grey instead of white. The closest grey one I could find in my area has tube steps and all weather floor mats added which bumps the MSRP to a little over $40,000. You think asking for $37,000 for the grey one will fly? This is before tax and title.

If that dealer wants your business they might agree to that price. You can tell them you don't want the tube steps and all weather mats and sometimes they will throw those items in for free and accept the price you want to pay.

Give it a shot. Tacoma sales have been showing slow growth for 2017 and they are having a tough time beating last years sales so I think a lot of dealers are hungry for sales on these trucks right now and starting to budge a little more on the price.

In reality....that's not how math works. lol

your new truck cost you $15,000 plus whatever your old truck cost you. I think you meant to say it only cost you $15,000 to upgrade to a new truck.

I'm interested in details as well. I'm looking for a 2017 Limited and I'm willing to fly out to SLC. I actually used to live there when I was stationed at Hill.

It would be really great if this thread had sale information requirements and deleted the non-complying posts.

It's amazing that after 100 pages, people still say, "2017, msrp $40k, paid $38k OTD". That helps nobody. :frusty:

Seattle got raised to 10.1% sales tax 4/1/17. This place sucks.

I ended up doing slightly better at Brent Brown in Orem. Plus it's only about a mile from my house, so that's preferable for me anyway. And realistically, I didn't do the best job negotiating, so I probably could have gotten it even a bit lower.

17 DCSB TRD OR V6 AT
    Tech Package
    Tow Package
    Mats & Sills
    Exhaust Tip

I calculate invoice at $36,161 and my price was $36,259.
