I bought this in 2016 - $30k plus tax, extend warranty ($2k). No other options. So, yes, like others, the demand is exceeding supply to some degree. Dealer took $1,000 off Internet price at time of purchase.. choke Tacoma's on the road. Strong resell.

I know it was a while ago already, but, where did you get dealers email addresses? All the dealerships I looked at, don't list their emails. They all have contact sheets that I have to fill out and provide them with my email...

Those which didn't provide an email on their website in their about-us or meet-the-staff sections, I filled the form with my throwaway email address and it wasn't long before I had a couple email addresses. Nearly all of them seemed to have a salesperson email then a manager would follow up. In their email would be their direct address.

As I allude to above -- create a new throwaway email when messing with dealers. NEVER give them your real email address. Gmail or outlook.com both make it easy to create a new address to use for the time being.

I also use a google voice number if I want to hear their voice mails; otherwise if the form requires a phone number I just put in their dealership phone number... ;)

Thanks for quick reply. Yeah, the 15 dealers I want to contact, unfortunately don't list their email. I figured that maybe there was a shortcut (like internetsales@dealership.yota... lol) that I wasn't aware of . So yeah, I have a new mail set up already and I'm about to start writing away.

There's also the old fashioned way of calling them up and asking the receptionist... :)

I haven't been able to finish the paper work yet due to the fact that a freaking tornado came through and took out the power at the dealership, but I just purchased a Inferno TRD OR DC SB 4x4 automatic for $32,888.

So I finally contacted some dealers, 24 to be exact. This is what I sent them:

    Hello, my name is Sebastian.
I'm looking to buy a new 2017 Toyota Tacoma. The truck that I want is Tacoma TRD Off Road Double Cab 4x4 Automatic (model 7544c) Silver Sky Metallic or Magnetic Grey Metallic.
    Premium and Technology Package (HH).
    Towing Package (TO).
    Floor Mats and Sill Protection.
I would like to get your best price quote, including all the dealer fees.
Thank you. I'm looking forward to your response.

    Sebastian

Received responses from almost all of them. Some auto responses saying that someone will get in touch with me... I replied with what truck I want to get. Some were asking for my number, I declined for now, until we have some quotes and email relationship going. There were some, that wanted to know whether I want lease, finance or buy cash... I explained that I want to buy, or finance if they can beat or match my credit union rates, but it shouldn't make a difference on my out the door price... and finally I also received seven quotes. Ranging from $40,467 (inflated MSRP) down to $37,118 (exact truck I want).
Of course, most of them have more options that I want, like tonneau cover, bed mat, mud gards, steps, some had exterior package (bed extender, steps, exhaust tip abd something else). I don't need most of that, especially that it could be purchased way cheaper elswere, but I'm starting to think along the lines 'more bang for the buck', I think I should entertain those as well. So there are 4 of them, that are pretty close to each other $37118 up to $37930 (with options), some in stock, and some they can get "within 48 hrs" of me saying so. Price difference seems to be too small to pit them against each other, unless I ... ok, little help here please. First time doing it, so please chime in

    Edit: found few typos
