Taxes are similar here in AZ, seems like a fair price to me. That's about what they're going for here.

OK, finally pulled the trigger but not on the allocation or price above. As I continued to receive bids from all the dealers I emailed, several found other inventory on lots that they could get and I finally found "the one" I wanted. They got it to their dealership today. I fly back home on Friday and am picking it up on Saturday. So, what did I pay:
2017 Tacoma Off Road (7545c) with 6 speed manual, tow package, all weather floor liners/sill protectors, bed mat, wheel locks and mud flaps. Total MSRP=$35,443. I paid $32,709 + tax (all in/out the door). Inferno with the new/orange thread interior, if anyone is interested. Most dealers dropped out of this one around the $32,920 level...but 2 stayed in the game until I got to a point ($32,709) where they were moving only a few dollars...so I pulled the trigger at that price. I am pretty pleased with the "email the internet managers" method and it worked exactly the way the poster described with what I believe are excellent results...or at least very good results. I do not believe I would have done this well in live negotiating, that's for sure.
Can't wait to bring it home on Saturday! I am anxious to hear if ya'll think I did ok.

Here's mine. I think I got a pretty decent deal on it. But I think most of my benefit was that few people are interested in the Sport. Fewer people are interested in the Sport long bed.

    2017 TRD Sport 4x4 DCLB ($35,515)
    Tow Package ($650)
Premium Package + Tech Package ($2,360)
    (non JBL)
Rubber floormats w/ doorsill protector ($208)

Window Sticker MSRP: $39693 (incl $960 delivery/doc fee)

With dealer installed bullshit (tint, edge guards, paint protection, taco tailgate emblem) $42,347

Paid $36k + taxes and reg

Added on Toyota 7/100 warranty for $900.

Guys, been perusing the the thread for a while now and have a good idea on things. Just wanted to post up some information I've gotten and get some of your thoughts.

    What I'm looking for..
    2017 Toyota Tacoma SR5 Quicksand
    4x4, 3.5L V6 Engine, 6-Speed Automatic
Double Cab, 6-ft. Long Bed/Short Bed (NOT CRITICAL)
    Tow Package

    Very basic otherwise
I've gotten 15 quotes so far. In PA, DE, MD, VA, NY
I qualify for college grad $750 rebate as well.

    $31,410.00 $31,856.00 $31,989.00 $32,052.00 $32,300.00
    $32,553.00 $32,656.00 $33,321.00 $33,352.00 $32,900.00
    $33,495.00 $33,526.00 $33,567.00 $33,852.00 $33,900.00

Is it possible for me to get one for 30,500 before tax/tag? I'm also a subcontractor for the owner of the dealer I've purchased from before so I'll attempt to hold them over the barrel.

Thoughts? How low can I go?

That's awesome what they gave you for the trade! I'm shopping around now, just looked at a QS DCLB OR that was fairly loaded at 40,700 and marked down to 38,499. If I could get that kind of price for my car I'd probably pull the trigger. 07 XC70, actually runs great, but 190k miles has the KBB trade in price at 1,900.
