Provided there's equity in it. I think you should be able to see low $42's or high $41's without your trade.

Just looked at a 2017 TRD Sport DCLB in Silver and hour away from where I live, it seems like a decent deal, but
Options - Tow Package, Exhaust tips.

    MSRP: 37,204,
Selling Price: 35,280.26, They claim this is invoice.
    Proc/Doc Fee: 516.20,
    Total Taxes: 413.37,
    Trade Allowance: 30,500,
    Trade Payoff: 22,500,
    Amount Financed: 28709.83

Seems like a decent deal, Thoughts?

Based on my deal, I don't think that's invoice. Check nada dot com

Regardless of if it's true invoice or close to it, does this look like a good deal?

Except I wouldn't pay the TDA...that should be negotiable. That is their marketing fee.

ok something doesn't add up in this pic.
good example is the cast alum. running boards. it shows as 679/795 but the previous tracking on this item was 560/795. also the invoice pricing on D- Rings, Mudguards has changed. so I am getting a lot of conflicting numbers from 3rd party verified stats and from this pic.

some items have not changed in invoice/msrp pricing, like the tow package and JBL stereo or the dest charge.

TDA looks to be in the correct range also as also for the dealer fuel charge.

I cant see the invoice pricing for a single item to jump $129 excluding the cruise control since its an added option for the SR trims now.

if you look at the price increase across the board for invoice/msrp, those that did go up were under $35 at most

Long time listener, first time caller. After many years I am finally ready and able to own a taco. I am currently in early negotiations with dealers in the greater Tacoma/Seattle/Everett/Bellingham. For many months I've lurked these forums, and now I am ready for my first post to get some feedback on my current situation and suggestions for next steps for a 2017 TRD OR DCLB w/ premium and technology package (sans JBL), tow package, and "all weather floor liners." MSRP is $39,444.00

I received an offer at my local dealer that wasn't near what I expected. Higher than what I read here and on TrueCar:
$39,778 (plus doc fee, license fee, and tax). OTD $44k. He didn't want to budge on the price so I contacted 12 area dealers asking for their best offer aka RFP (which was advice I gleaned from reading this forum). Almost everyone response. Some were higher, but most lowest.

The best offer I received was $37,254 (OTD $41,300). Is this a fair deal? I am not much into the high pressure "sit at my desk while I talk to the sales manager back and forth," but I also don't want to take a bad deal. My initial thoughts are to go back to the original dealer and ask to beat it the offer. I am not in a huge hurry to purchase, but it would be great to do it sooner than later.

    Thanks!

$2500 off MSRP isn't bad. Did you ask them to send the quote in writing with all of the fees and taxes? Details matter.

Yep, most everyone (including the best offer I received) that responded included a build sheet, their sales price, taxes, licensing fee, doc fee, and the OTD total.

In my email to the 12 dealers I was specific about what I wanted them to send me. Some dealers didn't comply in their initial response to me and I replied with my requirements. A couple were missed that I wanted a DC so that changed their price when I followed up.

I would email the every one except the local and the best price, say something like this is what I have been offered, drop your best offer by 500, and ask if any one is willing to beat that? Not being in a hurry is your advantage, use it. They want to sell, and your interested. Show them your excited, but make them work for your sale.

Use NADA and other resources to learn what invoice is, dealers still make money at invoice, just not the big fat I robbed someone blind commission checks.

Don't know where you live but I ordered the same configuration with the addition of 5' tube steps 550.00. My complete OTD price was 40,200.00 which included doc fees, dealer prep fees, and destination fees. Again it may have to do with the market you are in. That price seems reasonable but I would try to haggle another 1000 to 1500 out of rthem

Thanks for the comparison. Very helpful. I am within 20 miles of Seattle proper.

This is great approach for moving forward, thanks!

Sounds like it's time to check three more if you want to save some green backs
