Honestly the numbers changed a few times. They were advertising 31,900, then they found out I was in the military and reworked some numbers, then I told them the price wasn't going to work for my budget, they reworked the numbers again and I agreed. When I went to financing the guy reworked them again in my favor. I'm honestly not sure how they made a dime off the truck and it honestly sounded too good to be true. I come back home tomorrow so I'll post up the financing numbers. I'd be curious to know if I got a good deal or if it's purely an illusion.

@IronWoodman Go to the pricing/options thread and add up the invoice prices for the truck and all options, and remember to include the delivery charge.

Compare that invoice price to your price before TTL and incentives. If you landed pretty close you got a good deal.

What really matters though is if you're satisfied with what you paid. That's all that truly counts. Remember that this board covers many different markets with all different conditions. Fred Flintstone might post up a deal that seems incredible but doesn't mention he's in Podunk NY and the truck's been sitting on the lot for three months because someone sharted during a test drive. :D

What would be a good offer for a $34,896 TRD Sport Access Cab 6MT w/ Tow and Prem. tech package? Invoice is $30,336.

I know I got two, but I'm not sure a third valet key. I'll have to check.

I got charged for the D-rings as I requested them on the build....but I also got those adjustable bed cleats for free for some reason. Which was a bonus to me.

Dang that's messed up. I got D rings and they weren't on the sticker, neither were the bed clamps.

D Rings are on my Order too, I am thinking of keeping the Bed Cleats from my 15 so I do not have to shell out any cash for them.

Stopped by Modesto Toyota to see what they had on the lot. They had quite a few OR's three of them in Inferno but all autos. Here's the thing all three of them had stickers of $40,000 + and none of them had premium and tech. I didn't take the time to see what they added but what could they possibly have added that was worth $5,000?

so cal market is tough to get deals on an DCSB OR 4x4 . I got a 1600 quote off msrp on a gray one but white and quicksand forget about it. Longbeds seem to be plenty but i'm getting msrp to 500 off. I noticed SR5s are going for $2000 off just looking online.

If you don't mind traveling to Norcal I've seen posted prices on dealer websites already closer to $2000 on DCSB OR so there's definitely more play.

Honestly it beats this dealer telling me if I wanted a manual they could special order it but it would be $15k mark up over MSRP.

Traded my 2015 Pre runner sr5 v6 2 wheel drive in on my new 2017 Trd sport 4x4. First, I loved my 2015. Second I had so much equity in it I traded and got a 4x4. I'd be stupid not to.
    $21,000 trade in
    -$10,456 owed

$700 in tax savings trading in
    Out the door
    $23,765 tax,title , included

IMHO it's better to negotiate on the basis of Drive-Out / Out-the-Door / OTD price.

Figure your target as OTD of Invoice + TTL.

It's a lot harder for a dealer to play shenanigans if you've negotiated the bottom line number.

OTD is the way to go, so they don't work in a crazy doc or dealer fee on the deal when they "do up the paperwork".

OTD is how I negotiated my deal. Told them I wanted to be OTD at 36, expecting to be closer to 37

wait, what are you guys referring to as d-ring in the bed. are you talking about the two spots to strap from that swivel at the rear near tail gate?

Also dealerships charge for the bed cleats that go in the tracks? I thought those were a given since it has the rails, they also try an charge for that swivel ring. my sticker had neither.
