So you're saying I shouldn't worry about it? I mean I'm giving them $28k cash upfront for a NEW truck. It's just I can't stomach paying for a brand new truck with a seat handle missing and leaf springs that look "used." Thank you for your reply. I appreciate any and all feedback. This truck is the only vehicle I will have for probably a good 20 years+ so I want to make sure it's in mint condition when I get it. My other truck was a 2001 Nissan Frontier that I just sold for $4k

That rust or dirt on the leaf's isn't that bad . Have them hit it with a wire brush and spray it . GL .

Hit it with some rust inhibiter. These trucks are all made with the same materials so they should look similar. My 2019 that I just got has some rust but not that bad.

Ended up going to a different dealer but I got it to $33k (MSRP $39.7k)before ttl at dealer financing rate % but ended not taking the rebate for $34.5k before ttl to get 0%. No tech though. Overall happy with my purchase

    Just got back from dealer.

2019 TRDOR SB Auto 2WD with Tech package and lots of Gulf States stuff (crap)
    $37,815 MSRP
$31,405 after discount and $1500 rebate (includes dealer tint, which I would add anyway and it was $255)
    $33,793.89 OTD

Put down a deposit to hold it, but is this a good deal? I'm not a fan of Gulf States but I would have to travel about 8-10 hours to get out of the region.

This is too funny, had to share.
This morning I submitted a request via TrueCar and one local dealer responded with:
2019 TRDOR SB Auto with Tech (same as the truck I just posted about, white vs red)
    $38,073 MSRP
$31,663 after discount and $1500 rebate.

He just called me in a panic saying that was a mistake made by their software and my price would be $32,863 after discounts. Plus fees & TTL makes it $36,190 OTD.

Thing is, I had printed this out and used it while talking to another dealer for the previous deal: $33,794 OTD. I guess I'm getting a good deal on my previous post after all.

Also had two other dealers respond with a similar equipped truck for less than $32K as well. Wonder if their software "made a mistake" too?

Anyone bought a 2020 Army Green Pro yet?

I'm trying to decide if it's more economical to get a 2020 Pro or a 2020 Off Road with the Premium & Advanced Technology package.

What are the major differences between the two?

    Thanks.

    Hi all,

I’m looking to get back into a Tacoma. Specifically the SR5 double cab 4x4, 6ft bed, black, no major packages or add ons. MSRP is listed at $36,900. With The $1,500 incentive included, what is a reasonable price I can/should get walking out of the door? Seeing what some folks are paying for the TRD, I’m thinking 31-32k is within reason before tax and title. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I would say that a bottom line deal would be about 31365. That is including the rebate. Most dealers won't go any lower than 85% of MSRP. So really anything lower than 32k is a good deal.

I'm looking at a truck on Monday. 19 OR DCSB manual, black with black/orange interior. Not a fan of the orange dash ring, but I'll just replace it.
No tech or premium. Msrp is 36503, they offered 30,364 in an email. I kinda want the tech but I think this is a pretty good deal. Should I try to get it lower?

I think that seems reasonable but I’d say I’ll walk unless they can do $29500. It’s just a game. Throw it out there and wait a couple days, if it’s a volume dealer they need room for new stuff.

Only problem is that i live 2 hours away from the dealer and I have a 10 month old, so I need a sitter and all that. So what if they call my bluff? I also feel a bit pressured as there are not many 19 OR 6MT around. I'll probably still try.

Put the pressure back on them when you offer the 29.5 , tell them you are looking elsewhere as well, so to make it happen now that is where I am price wise.
