I had my deal done before I went in to get mine. My dealer is close to my house, but I’m not wasting my time in a dealership playing their silly games. I did go their once prior and they thought my offer was funny, and tried to lowball my trade in 06 4runner, I walked out without a word more. Ended up below my offer and with a higher trade. If I was doing it remotely I’d have the deal done, get your price and ask for a PO for the OTD amount to bring the check. After I beat them down lower than my initial offer they somehow beat my financing amount on top of it and I had 2.7 through my credit union. If you really want/need it then the $1000 isn’t much in the big picture, but that will cover a few mods lol.

I paid 33,500 I think. I have AT and long bed. Plus tech package, bed mat, mud flaps, weather mats etc. I don’t really count anything that was added after port. I told them they could keep their all weather mats as I’d rather have husky liners. They knocked that price off I guess lol. They’ll try to up-sell you in financing for warranty and rim/tire/key protection etc. just laugh and say “I’ll think about it but I gotta go, get the shit together before I dump the contents of this baby diaper on your desk”.

It would need to be pretty used.... I would’ve preferred that too if the used models weren’t higher priced than new ones. In the Chicago area I would have saved like $2000 buying something with 40k miles on it. No thanks. Guess I’ll appreciate that resale value down the road if I ever decide to sell (unlikely). I would have kept my 4runner but it was about to need a $4000 head gasket job.

I agree. With the deals they are making on 2019’s it doesn’t make financial sense to purchase used.

I am not a car dealer not do I work for one, I do other services. I didn't wan to upset him when I saw his sales contract. He was very proud of his new truck and thinks he got a good deal :(

32,089 sale price for my fresh 2019 TRD OR DCSB 6MT tech and premium. Msrp was just under 40k, so that's almost 19% off! I test drove it at one dealership in VA, they low balled my trade. Another dealership in MD called me during negotiations and told me they could a similar spec'd one for the same price. Turns out it was the exact one I just test drove. The MD dealership gave me an extra 1700 for my trade and the doc fees were $400 less. It took 13 hours (I live two hours away from the dealerships) but in the end I'm happy to finally be a full fledged member here. Thank you to all you wonderful people for all the help along the way. Now, time to get her dirty!

Thats probably on of the best deals I've seen. They definitely lost money or perhaps hoping to make money off your trade or meeting end of month quota. Congrats. I had to pull teeth even at this time of the year to get $33k for my 2019 bare bones offroad (paid $33.2k) and $37k for my $43k sport. I took the 1.9% though instead of the $2k rebate. Guessing you took the rebate. Welcome!

My buddy told me not to agree to a price until everybody in the room was pissed off. My salesman was a really nice guy from Nigeria, he seemed new and was no match for my stubbornness. Also, I took the rebate bc I put 15 down. He told me they are losing 2k on it, which I highly doubt after the rebate and dealer incentives etc. Could not have gotten this done without all the help from TW.
