After 25 years of dreaming, finally bought my first Tacoma today. 2019 TRD Off-Road Double Cab 4x4 with the Blackout and Tech package. Barcelona Red Metallic with the Graphite cloth seats. Dealer add-ons...Premium Carpet Mat Set (to be replaced by all-weather mats shortly), Vehicle protection package which includes paint renewer clear, fabric guard and black badge overlays over wheel wells. Predator Tube Steps, Towing Ball Mount and of course TRD OffRoad Package. MRSP $41,000.00 Asking price, $37,200.00 Negotiated Sale $36,200.00

Manager made it seem it was the biggest deal he's ever given. "What the heck, it's the end of the year..." kind of vibe.

I ended up adding on the additional warranty for $1700 but was able to stretch it out to an 8 year 100k warranty with a $100 deductible. I was on the fence with getting the extended warranty but knowing I'll have the truck paid off in 3 years plus having an additional 5 year warranty is pretty nice.

As everyone knows, Never buy the GAP insurance from the dealer. I was quoted $789 for the insurance from the dealer but I called my insurance carrier and they are charging me an extra $30/year to add the same coverage. Also, I can cancel it after a few years and I'm not upside down on the loan. So after 3 years, my truck is paid off and I've paid $90 for Gap Insurance (which I probably can cancel after two years)... Check with the dealer to see if the GAP insurance can be canceled and just get it through your insurance or a 3rd party. You'll save a ton of money.

I'm pretty sure I got a good deal... 39k out the door. I'm sure others got it cheaper but I'm also sure others paid a lot more! Point it, I'm happy with the price and I'll pay it to have this great truck for the next 15+ years :)

Also, this is my first post as I'm new to the forum. I'll be checking in for tips and tricks :) Thanks and respect to all

Anyone else recently purchase a 19? I’m working on a deal for a 19 OR DCSB currently, looking at hopefully little under 31k for msrp and about 35k out the door with taxes and fees.

And electric car owners in CA will will have the privilege of paying an additional $100 on top of the crazy high vehicle registration fees starting in July. Elected officials feel this will help make up for lost gasoline tax revenue.

It’s only the tip of the iceberg as buyers slowly adopt BEV’s and bypass purchasing gasoline. The soon to be released Tesla Model Y compact SUV will be a game changer in the BEV world. It is expected to sell in the hundreds of thousands per year and outsell the S, X and Model 3 combined.

Sorry, I messed that one up. I just looked again at the sheet and here it is
2019 DCSB 6MT only package included was door/sill and mats
    MSRP 36503
Sale Price 31348 (included 2k rebate and haggling but I could not get them to give me the school grad credit because I financed elsewhere with a much better rate
31348 PLUS tax/tag/fee put me at 33204 and that's because in NY you don't pay tax on the trade in value (20,500.) I rolled the $1848 in equity I had after my trade and my total finance amount is 31356.20

I worked with Jason at Koons Westminster in Maryland and I cannot say enough good things about him. He was available by phone/text/email for the whole process. Price haggling, trade in haggling and finance discussions were all done from text. Extremely convenient and non confrontational. From the time I made initial contact with him, to me walking into the dealership was a week and a half. I had the truck I wanted picked out and a deal brokered, and he put the keys aside for me for the entire week until I could get down from New York to pick it up and didn't even require a deposit. He gave me an additional 500 bucks on my trade in when I arrived as well. I was in and out of the dealership within an hour and couldn't be a happier customer. On the way back to New York, I noticed the clutch getting caught in the mat, texted Jason and he told me that they must have put the wrong mats in. He ordered and shipped me a set of MT mats immediately and they arrived to my house a few days later. Highly recommend him for anyone on the east coast willing to travel to get a good deal.

    On that note:

The set of automatic mats that were in the truck when I drove off are for sale: $150 plus shipping if anyone is interested please private message me.

So was in contact with a dealer is Harrisburg PA, wow what a waste of time. MSRP was 41,714 for a 2019 OR DCSB and the deal he gave me was 34,299 after rebate and discount. I told him from the start i wanted to pay cash. We finally started talking about payment and he decides to then tell me that I had to finance in order to be eligible for the 2000 rebate. And then says he also had to add another 500 bucks back because he messed up. This is becoming more of a headache than I had planned. Might just wait for a 2020 at this point. The dealers with trucks left from 2019 I suspect are not the best in the first place. I am going to try and talk to Koons tomorrow.

Bought mine December 28 of 2019. It was a 2019 left over. Manufacturers list price on it was just under 45k. I end up pulling the trigger on it at 37,400 + tax, etc which included a “Toyota Days” $1750 off.

There must have been a ton of port add on's for a sport to be at $45k, a fully loaded one (tech/prem package) should be around $42k and change prior to any accessories / port ad ons. Still good deal. I paid similar for mine, $36.5k, $42.3k MSRP, took the financing deal instead of TFS rebate.

When I was shopping I had a salesman try and tell me that I had to use their financing to be eligible for the rebate. I proved him wrong and got an email from the “Sales Manager” saying something along the lines of “oops he was mistaken”
I moved along and purchased from a no BS dealer.

Good catch! I fat fingered the MSRP. Should have read just under 44k. It does have tech package & TRD premium sport package, tonneau cover and few other things like paint protection, wheel locks, all weather mats, bed mat, etc. too. The freaking delivery process and handling fee was $1095! It’s also a long bed. Not sure how much that plays into the pricing.

The kicker in my deal was when they offered me $1500 as a trade in my 2002 TRD with a cracked windshield, 213k mikes and some other issues on top of the original deal. It was also 3 days before the Calendar turned to 2020 and being that it was a 2019 they may have wanted to move it off the lot.

Yep, sounds like about 2k in accessories/port installed options, still a great price and more than 10% off MSRP, nice work!
