Any explanation for why Tacoma's are so much more to buy new in California than the east coast? I got my '18 off road Mt for 30,500.

I was haggling between mountain state and the local one here in Colorado Springs and got them both down to 36,494 for a TRD OR DCSB w premium, tech and the floor liners. I went with the local one because I wouldn't have to drive 2 hours up to mountain state.

Edit - this was for an AT

I've edited my previous post. I am looking for an AT. 36.5k sounds like a great price. Itll give me a reason to finally go to Colorado and check out the mountains as well! I won't have time off work for a few months to make the transaction but I want to know what I'm getting myself into beforehand

Was that including rebate? Or did you take the financing?

Good morning! Did you use a dealer in CO? If so, which one? I live over on the western slope. I hope to test drive a Tacoma when I take my wife out looking for a car for her. If it seems like the Tacoma will fit the bill, I'll start soliciting for bids. I have no problem coming over to the front range.

Is now (August/Pre-Labor Day) the best time to purchase a 2019 Tacoma or wait until September when the 2020 Tacoma arrives at dealer lots?

See sig. Full packages, 2019 Sport, around $33K after $1750 rebates. This dealer ripped me on Predator step, "mandatory" flashing middle brake light and "mandatory" anti-theft etched in glass.

From my research, if you want a MT get one while you can with a good discount as there are not many left out there especially ones that are loaded. If you want an AT you are likely to get much better deal when the 2020s arrive since there is plenty of unsold AT inventory everywhere I went.

One thing to think about is rebate and rebate or financing is set to expire at the end of the weekend. That may even things out.

Through emails and phone calls, I have negotiated two offers—15% and 16% discounts off MSRP, but I keep wondering if September will be even sweeter.
