How much are you paying for your 2020 SR model?

Since I got my truck at the beginning of March when the 1500 rebate kicked in I check autotrader once in a while to see pricing. Hasn't changed much on the SR, have heard of one guy getting a killer deal on a TRD OR on over on the general pricing thread. Very happy with the SR and SX pkg at the pricing I got as it's still way under what the TRD OR folks pay even with the bigger rebate and some great ( for those models) deals. Cutting production probably contributes to the price stability as folks are waiting to see what happens before making a new truck purchase.

 

Best quote I got out in Norcal for a 2020 SR AC 4x4 v6 was $31,497 before ttl. I think I'd be better off catching a deal on a base OR model..

 

I'm in Bay Area, called 10 dealerhisps, 2 had access cab in 4wd and basically no other Tacoma, shortage in California. The local dealership had 1 in 4wd in the color I wanted, and 3 people test drove it that morning, 0 bargain power. It's my first car and I had literally never been dealership before.

2020 Access Cab 2.4L selling price - $28175
84Mos/75000 Miles Service cost - $2650
50Mos/55000 Miles Maintenance - $1125
Kahu tracker transfer - $600 (totally made up cost I'm sure).
So total out the door with license/registration/California tire fee/kahu tracker transfer/document processing fee (lol)/Electronic transfer fee + taxes was $35000...

That’s an excellent price for an excellent truck. If that’s the truck you want then I wouldn’t hesitate.

 

Definitely the truck i have been looking for. I think maybe i could do a little better if i waited till summer next year on a 2021 but i dont want to keep waiting and want to start enjoying. Going to pic the truck up this Saturday.

 

How are you guys finding 2020 trucks for under $30k? And how are you guys finding ones just over $20k?? Christ I'm just trying to find a 2017 for under $25k that doesn't have 70,000 miles on it.

You might be able to do better next year, but, like you, I’d hate to have to wait that long, haha.

 

Region plays a part in the price, but mostly it’s the trim level. An Access Cab SR trim 4x4 pickup in Texas is only a $28,000 truck. After negotiations one can get sometimes 8% off of that price.

 

Also going to 6 cyl makes a big difference.

Most people can snag a fully loaded sport or off-road for around 34-35K.

well I did anyway. Maybe shit has changed.

 

Just quoted you list price but say take 10 percent off it's still a bit over 30K. I did add steps on that quote but was not able to add the SX pkg so figured it more or less evened out. I would have to say yeah shit has changed when I see folks on the what are you paying thread hitting the 40K mark quite a bit. So for me just needing a solid truck that has the same power train as the TRD models I would rather pay 30 K than 40 K . That said, toyota definitely sells more TRDs than SRs.

My roommate got a 2020 SR 4cylinder for $23k brand new, 0 miles a few months ago. The dealership wanted $28k with like $3-4k of that being random fees and "additions" like $200 for nitrogen filled tires lol.
