So I've got my front and rear extended lines from Marie at headstrong.

The next thing I wanted to do was get enough brake fluid because when I swap the lines I want to do a flush as well. Anyone know how much I'll need?

And I believe I need to use Dot 3? Is that correct? Is there any kind of TW preferred brand?

Okay so I think I'll go ahead and get like five containers, that way I have some in the garage in case I need it.

I haven't looked at brake fluid in a while, so I did some research and I see that now they have 5.1 fluid.
Assuming there is not a massive price difference, would there be any reason to not just say screw it and go straight to do 5.1?

yea I put that in favorites, looks like LUCAS DOT3 in a very good over the counter DOT3, basically the best wet boiling point is best

Just make sure you only break the seal on one bottle at a time. Brake fluid has a short shelf life when its not sealed. I used 2 small jugs from Advance when I flushed my 1st gen. IMO, really no need to upgrade anthing or buy a specific brand.

DOT 5 is silicone based and was made for/by the military as it does not draw in water and has an absurdly high boiling point. At least that is what I've read.

It looks like 5.1 is close in price and is the "best". So I think I'll roll with that after reading more of that link above
