I am slowly beginning my audio overhaul on a 2012 DC. First step will be deadening. After doing some research, I plan on using Raammat as that has the most positive feedback. Raammat sells a package with 37.5 sq. ft. of deadener, and 41.625 sq. ft. of ensolite. My question is for anyone who has deadened their Tacoma, how far will this get me? I am looking to do the 4 doors, behind the rear seat and the floor. I'm not as concerned with the floor so I may buy a cheaper brand and skip the ensolite on the floor I was just hoping that this package would be enough for the 4 doors and behind the rear seat.

This is exactly what I want to do with the same brand deadener. I hope someone responds. From what I know the 37 sq. ft. will probably do all four doors and the back behind the rear seats. Not completely sure. Hope someone else chimes in.

it all depends how you apply it, and what strategy your going to use when deciding how much you want to use per panel.

If your interested in looking at other options, I just opened up the Shok Deadener group buy # 7

I bought that same pack of RAAMmat. After doing the doors, I knew I needed a second pack of the 37.5sq ft pack. I installed the bxt on the outer door skin and the inner door panel as well. After doing all 4 doors, the back wall, the floor between wall to the cargo area, and the lower portion under the cargo area (under the rear seats), I have exactly 1 sheet of the BXT left. I also covered all 4 inner skins of the doors plus the rear wall with ensolite and still have a large portion left over.

So if you only cover the outer door skin, you should have enough to do the rear wall and the portion that runs along the wall to the cargo tray, but probably won't have enough for the cargo tray area.

Also, my advice is to get a good set of metal sheers and spray wd-40 on the blades. It'll keep them from sticking and you'll work faster. When you notice the blade sticking to the sheet, just spray some more wd-40. It won't affect the adhesive since you're only getting the very edge of the sheet.

Package 2 is more than enough from RammAudio but it won't cover the roof. It does all vertical walls down, back wall, doors, floor pan. You can also contact them and talk they will set you up with a custom package.

I used a 36 sq. ft Dynamat Extreme pack and another 18 sq. ft. of Noico sound deadening on top of 36 sq. ft. on Ensolite foam on the doors and trunk area and Dynapad on the floors. Honestly, the Dynamat/Noico can be used sparingly; you just need to tap test to see where metal flexes. The acoustic material (Ensolite) is what really needs to cover everything. If you can, try using some of it on the back of the door panels.

if i remember right i used a 1.5 "kit" from raam audio in my dcsb truck a few years ago, i fully covered the front inner door skins, outer door skins, 1 sheet per each rear door just to get rid of vibrations (no rear speakers). double layered the back wall, and about 1 sheet on the drivers and passsenger side floorboards, and then tossed any extra on various metal spots in the rear floor area.
covered all 4 doors and back wall with ensolite and had a bit left over.

I did 4 doors (2 sheets per door), back wall @ 80% coverage and overhead @ 80% with the Rammat pkg 1.

Using a calibrated sound meter in my truck , no wind and driving at highway speeds 65 mph , the sound meter reads between 70 and 75 decibels in my 2010 .
I tried this before i sound deadened my truck . Now that I have the deadening in the doors, roof , floor and rear of the cab , the meter reads approx 10 decibels less . Even with the sound deadening , most of the noise comes from the back of the cab . Thought I would throw this out there for an FYI

I just did mine this weekend with the same product. Very happy with my results. I went with package 1 and I only had enough for all 4 doors and I'm left with scraps but I did cover the front doors at about 90% and the backs at about 70% the doors make a pleasant "thud".
I covered the outer and inner walls then covered the inner walls in the Ensolite. I'm going to have to buy more bxt to do rear and floors.
