Yeah, deal for me is dealers want 24 range for a truck that is 25 + change MSRP. I'm not willing to do that on last year's model, pure and simple. I figure I might as well spend the extra $500 to $1k to get a 2010, what the hell.

I'm hoping when the 2010's come out, that one of the 5 or so 09's I found that are like I want (4cyl, 5spd, access cab) will drop in price.

Yep, brand new, had 6 miles on it when I rolled out of the dealership. I secured a great price before the clunker bill finalized and all the dealers jacked their prices up to compensate. I rolled in with all my price quotes in writing, then hit em' with the clunker.

Damn...man I wish I had a clunker to get rid of. I still might have to try and get your price though. I'll probably walk in and give them exact numbers and what I want and see if they take the bait. Hopefully I can get a deal like yours...or slightly worse.

Good luck, my out the door price was 25,900. This was in late July before all the dealers "adju$ted" their prices for the clunker stuff. I put down a deposit on the original agreed price, and it took over a month to get my truck ordered and delivered. When they infused another 2B into the clunker program, I was able to take advantage of it as well. I originally thought I was SOL when everyone blew through the first round of money for the clunker bill, but got lucky they decided to add more. Believe me, they pulled every trick in the book when I went to go pick my truck up. The price magically jumped to over 27K out the door, and took many hours of chest beating and threats, revealing many copies of emails I had received and documented, etc. They were basically waving me a single finger salute when I rolled out of there with my new truck, but I got what I was promised, and it's all good. Only beef- the dreaded yellow sticker inside the driver door, but I'll bash that one out too...

I paid $3000 more than it was the following model year.....Toyota adjusted the price to reflect the strong Canadian dollar and people buying in the states....Kick in the stones but shit happens.:(

Jeez man! We don't have any "adju$tments" around here that I've seen, everyone seems to be running like they did before (I think) but since the 2010's are actually coming into dealer lots and this truck has been chilling no some lot FOR MONTHS I might get a good deal on it...maybe...possibly...I hope.
That sticker is BS. I've only seen it up to 10lbs and as low as 2lbs around here...why even bother?

I almost got the same set up: 2006 Super white, TRD Sport Access cab, 4x4, automatic, and it had 91,000 miles :annoyed: I have a friend who happens to be a toyota service tech and I had him drive it around a bit since it had high miles...he said it ran like a champ. No trade, negotiated to $16,100 - with tax and license, my final cost was $17,750 (California sales tax is a killer). I still cringe when I look at the miles, but it's in excellent shape. All service records, 4 new tires, and all major maintenance current. I just hope I didn't get screwed on this deal...

Congrats to all the members who got killer deals...I hate ya! :quickdraw:
