Anybody know typically when rebates come out for the Tacomas (California) if that matters? Thanks!

I purchased my 2008 Tacoma in Delray, Florida. They were asking $33,240.00 (lots of options). We negotiated down to $28,450.00 out the door. The only option left off was "leather seats". I got everything else. The truck had 26 miles on it when I drove off the lot.

Ridiculous as in; had to pay extra for the turd factory system, didn't really have a choice. I tried to order a truck from the factory, they never could give me an answer on when I would get it. Guy kept saying, "could be 8 weeks, could be 8 months." So he dealer traded for a truck from another city, already had tons of stuff on it.

The factory stereo (in any car for that matter) is very weak. They put limiters and sound compressors on it to keep you from blowing the paper speakers.

Don't have the sticker in front of me, but roughly it was this.
MSRP 34.5K OTD 27.5K which included a 1.5K rebate Apr 09, plus used my USAA buying service which saved me more $$$, which equated to 1.5K below invoice price. They ordered the truck from the factory because of the color (Timberline), and options (loaded).:D

I seem to be getting prices right around 32k out the door on an auto 4x4 OR, DC. Thats w/ all fees and taxes (7%). iirc, it was around 29.5 w/o those fees/tax.
Is that about right or should it be significantly lower?

Is the sticker price $29.5k? if so then that would be "about right". U should be able to negotiate a 1,000 0ff the sticker price? When i bought mine they dropped 1,300 off plus i waited til there was a rebate. So i got mine for 2,300 under the sticker, which basically paid for my taxes and title. Hope that helps

From what I've seen, the sticker prices have been between 30,250-32,000 and they're telling me they're knocking it down to around that 29.5 mark, but it comes back up to 32 w/ the taxes, etc. iirc, "invoice" was in that 29.5k mark.

After oweing 10,500 on a 05 F150 they first offered 7500 and wanted 24500 we arrived at 9365 for the ford leaving 1135 to be added to taco. SO I gave $22261 +1135 for a total of $23396 OTD FOor what I though was a GREAT trade with a dealer...

Rebates usually show up in september for the previous year models. Or if there is a slump in sales. In 2008 the rebates ran from September until December. Edmunds.com will list what rebates are available.
