    Tdog -
Looks like you got a good deal. I was thinking that price was without TTL - if so, that was the SMOKIN DEAL OF THE YEAR!!! Its a relief - because thats about where I'm at.

    Brendazzle -
Also where I'm at on my deal - It looks like thats where most are at -

Sweet - I'm glad everyone shared their deal. It helps ALOT! time to go buy......

This is the hands down best explaination of options and MSRP. Theres not much money on MSRP options:
    http://www.automobilemag.com/am/99/2009/toyota/tacoma/base_crew_cab_pickup/314/packages_options.html

Bottom line price for the Dcab 4X4 V6 is 24301 - 24350 (Does not include holdback (500))

$24301 + a few options LOADED with no holdback and no profit should be around $29100. Add 1350 TTL = $30450 - minus $1000 rebate - $29450 - Give the dealer some holdback and profit = $30,000 to $30500.

MSRP on my above example is about 32,250

Tacoma rebate is $1000 and expires on 2/2/09

I bought my 08 in August - 4x4, trd off-road, SR5, tow package, stereo/6-disc changer, nerf bars, acces cab, 6-speed manual, BFG tires, trd floor mats (front and back), front skid plate, white - hard color to find at the time in Northern Cali, Coupons for two free oil changes and a free tank of gas, nothing down and took the 2.9% financing for 5 years. $28,000 out the door, (that includes fees, tax, license, etc). I think it was a decent deal.

$18000 out the door about a year and a half ago. My dad, being a cop, we looked it up on DMV and found how much the dealer bought it from someone as a trade-in, then lowballed the hell out of the place on the 28th of the month.

    <--winner.

I LOVE those rims on your truck. Theyre just slightly understated so they look stock, but have a style to them.. DAMN good choice! seriously.

You and me both but right now I'm not sure if I'm selling the MZ3 quite yet. Gotta check for cash.

I did a ton of research and had to go 275 miles away to get the PreRunner I wanted but I paid $17,450 - About 3k less than NADA Book. My salesman told me that this particular dealer averages between 350 - 400 sales per month. In November they only sold 173 - This PreRunner was a loss-leader that they were advertising the hell out of. It was all over CraigsList and print ads but the day they starting pushing it hard was the day it started snowing... The fact I was in the market for a 2wd truck a week after Portland got hit with 2ft of snow made a very persuasive argument for the sales manager!

Here are some tips about purchasing a vehicle from a new/used dealer:

Always buy a vehicle in the last week of December if you can, never trade anything in and have your financing in place before you step foot on the lot. When they start talking monthly payments just say 'I'll consider anything' but tell them you want an 'Out the Door' or 'On the Road' or 'Off the Lot' or 'Bottom Line' price.

I bought our Black Pearl for my wife. She was tired of the Chrysler 300 in these Canadian winters and wanted a "Girl Truck" so we looked at the Toyota Tacoma. She wanted one good on gas but the 4cyl. were not available in Canada. My salesman said there was a possibility that he could get me one from the good ole US of A if we could wait. He called me up 3 weeks later and said he had a SR5 access cab, tan interior, 4cyl., 5 speed, 8000mi., for $23,000.00. We dropped the Chryco and the rest is history. P.S. our buck was at par at the time so I saved $8000.00 over buying a new Taco with the same options only a V6.

My 2009 PreRunner Double Cab 5-speed auto with TRD Sport Extra Value Package, 6 disc, towing package, and DRLs for $26,026 + TTL. The sticker was $28,026. I also opted for 0%, 36 month financing rather than a $775 rebate.

Good deal. I'm looking at a private sale of a Black,07 SR5 double cab 4x4, trd off road package, tow package & tube step, audio controls on wheel, for 21,000.
I thought it was a good price, but after reading some these these posts, I might look at some new 09 models, if I can't find any 08s.
