Saw an interesting thread discussing how much debt you were in with your Tacoma. A lot were paid off completely but I'm assuming they were a little older, Or you're all drug king pins lol. How much debt are you in with your newer Tacoma? And what are your plans to get rid of it? Discuss all relevant info you're comfortable with- Trade-ins,Rates,Time, etc...

I got a brand new '15, 4.4%, paying almost 1.5 times on most payments to pay this sucker off ASAP!

I owe less than 13K on mine. I got it for around 28.2K after trade in (including a 100K warranty). I financed for 3 years but plan to have it paid off in about 2 or 3 more months (a little over 1.5 years total). Interest is only 1.79% so it's not bad, but I want to get this thing paid off asap.

Paid 30k out the door spot on for my 2015, includes 60k maintaince.
Financed the whole lot in April because 1.9%.
Been paying extra on principle through 7 payments owe about 25k.
Will pay off in full within a couple weeks because new home and it helps qualifies us for the mortgage.

The other finance thread also turned into a flame-off.

Some guys will tell you that you're a moron for having debt. I'll tell them it's smart to have controlled debt. They'll tell me I'm dumb and that I can't manage my money. I rage quit.

Why are we doing this again?

I haven't seen the other thread but I can see that. Money is up there with politics and religion for bad things to talk about with people that you don't really know.

I believe families should carry only one payment at a time and keep cars 10 years. (Hopefully our 09 Grand Cherokee will make it) I have a 1.74% rate and my investments are making 4-5%. I would be giving up 2.25% if i paid cashed.

My two rules.... Buy when the market is moving down and use debt when the loan rate is lower than your investment returns.

    Think a thread already exists.

No trade in 21k down, on my 14 dc 4x4 off road paying mostly double payments, under 10k owed.

Leased a new 2015 because of the 2016 being changed a lot. If no problems with the 2016 in 3 years I will buy one, if not I will keep the 2015. 10k left on lease
