If that were my case, I would definitely hold off on the mods

I don't disagree with not liking debt but right now in this financial environment you can earn a return in a nice dividend stock and make money. 21,000 for 60 months @ 2.0%. 1,084 interest over the life of the term (22,084). If you took that same amount and invested in Wells Fargo with a 3.1% yield it would have returned 25,211.00 if you reinvested all the dividends. You could have made 3k in the process, had your emergency fund still available, and bought quite a few mods when the truck was paid for.

    Just food for thought.

Mine I owed 10.5 on after trade-in. $200 or so a month and I qualified for .9 percent. Not that I love payments either but as a homeowner who knew I had a big job coming up (kitchen remodel) I couldn't see the sense of paying it out the door and then financing the kitchen from a strict dollars/cents angle. My part time job pays the truck payment and then some so it's not an issue.

I purchased an 8 year old with 85,000 miles w/cash. I'll admit it I'm cheap, but to me furgal has become a sport. Thrift stores, Ebay, Alibaba, and Craigslist has become my hunting ground!

The only thing I dislike more than paying to use some one else's money is a hot stick in the eye. Payed cash for the 11.

I currently owe $33,000 and I should have it paid off in a year or two. It just depends on if I stop buying things, which I do.....a lot.

Nothing wrong with that. I'm a fan of all those as well.

I mainly needed a dependable ride after my 06 Colorado puked the engine at 70k. In large part I had to take care of an ill parent. The peace of mind was priceless to me and getting a 3 year old truck with 6600 miles was too good to say no

One can never have too many light bars.
8K left and I'm gonna wait until I burn through the stock rubber and upgrade both tires and suspension at the same time. Should be paid off by then.

$0.00 but if you consider mods as an expense then don't even get me started to think of a monthly average total haha

I own my truck outright. I'm waiting to do serious mods until after the 60K warranty expires (I'm at 57K). Even then, I can't completely bring myself to pull the trigger on the OME suspension and ARB bumper I want because right now I live in the urban jungle and drive over 2K miles/month.

That is, unless you count the Leer 100R, debadging, window tint, and Weathertech floor liners as mods.

you could alway do a spacer lift, that wont affect the warrantee at all. We all know how fond TW users are of spacer lifts. :D
