Mine would have been paid off if I'd stopped buying more guns.

House is paid off, credit card gets paid in full every month...cool that my bank pays me to use their money.

Truck was bought November 2018. I wanted to pay it off ASAP, so I made multi payments. Not use to making payments, and don't like it.

I downloaded the pay off form Friday night, Monday I'll do some transferring of funds and send the payoff form and a check to Toyota Southeast Financing.

Damn shame you can't do a direct bank transfer to Toyota. That's what I did when I bought my bike from a dude that just wanted his pay off amount for it.

these topics always devolve into absurdist financial posturing. it’s a way for one to seemingly feel superior to another. what one does with their finances matters not at all. pay cash, use credit. whatever there is absolutely zero right answers for any sum of individuals. i just hate the fact that this always turns into a im right in my ways and you aren’t.

can you pay cash and want to? cool.
would you prefer a loan? cool.
it’s your life do what makes the best sense for you and yours.

I’m the pay it forward type (my father’s biggest financial impression on me) ... I make payments to myself, then pay cash for the vehicle and start making payments to myself again. That way the investment bank is paying me interest instead of the other way around. Wouldn’t ever finance a similar high dollar purchase (except for the house, but I keep the mortgage to income ratio under .20).
