Insurance is the biggest scam since slice bread. If it wasn’t required I wouldn’t have it, it’s for those who can’t save money. Think about how many times someone didn’t want to make a claim because afraid rates would go up, or how much money we have to pay over the years for the uninsured. Why pay for the uninsured when you could be that person on the other end of the line reaping the benefits. Every year it goes up even though no claims made and vehicles get older. If every company ran their books like those folks they’d be out of business, but it’s required by our government to drive. Just look how much they spend on commercials, and that will tell you their profit.

Depends on your location, driving history, age, but mainly coverage.

I can't compare my insurance premiums when I have more than full coverage to someone who has the state minimum and an unmodified truck with no accessories or camper.

500 deductible, etc. I think very similar to OP's setup.

We are at 180/mo = 2160/year. It actually went down when I got the Tacoma compared to my old mazda, probably due to the anti crash sensor BS.

That's discounted thanks to 'rona, typically is 200 = 2400/year for the two of us.

When we lived in providence with my '12 Mazda 3 it was 250/mo.

Welcome to RI car insurance. Once you drive here, you'll understand why our rates are so high.

Just in case anybody was wondering. I just got off the phone with USAA they have not changed their qualification rules yet you still have to have a blood family member that is alive and They have to be a member of USAA

I got a quote from USAA and it was significantly more than I'm paying with State Farm.

I too have USAA with pretty much minimal coverage, good driver discount, senior discount, lo-jack discount and pay about $55 a month. State Farm sent me an offer with most likely similar coverage for $49 a month.

I signed up for USAA just to get a quote to see if they could beat my rates with Erie. Unfortunately, they could not.
