I'm 26 with an accident in 2005, my fault traveling over 100 mph on city highways. No joke, I made some seriously poor decisions.

Now I pay $120 per month for my truck with 250k/500k/250k coverage and a 1000 dollar deductible. I pay another 36 for full coverage on my motorcycle too.

Not too shabby considering I had a bunch of speeding tickets before that accident too. I have been ticket/accident free since 2005 which has helped.

When I bought my crotch rocket in 2007, the lowest insurance I could find was ~$890 per month (not a typo), so I only had liability...

1,000 bucks a year. Don't remember exactly what the limits are, but significantly higher than minimum requirement, and the truck is covered under comp/collision as well. I have had one speeding ticket, over ten years ago. Otherwise I am squeaky clean. :D

Edit: I have my insurance through Farmer's. Got quotes from Geico and Progressive and they were much higher.

An ARE camper shell, a 1000w power inverter.

My truck is going to be 100% for business use.

What screwed me was I had a ticket in Texas. I felt didn't deserve the ticket, so I didn't pay it. It got my license suspended. Then I got pulled over with a suspended license and that was another ticket. Oh well. I don't have a car note, and I just turned insurance off on two cars, so it won't be that bad. Just keep paying and eventually prices will drop.

ETA, that thread was five months old..... Sorry but what an A$$.
