Yes sir. Mention in the notes section of your order for a ribbed skin that you heard about it on TW and we'll include the cap automatically.

Mine is bowed from loading my motorcycle and it looks like the bolts and plate might suck it up back into shape. Mine saggs about 2-1 inches so it isnt a taco yet but wondering if the plate would just bend or if it would help bend it back into shape.

That sucks! I just ordered my reinforcement for this very same reason. Even though I have a 2014, I get nervous every time i load the dirtbikes.

One look at the inside of the tailgate , and what these plates actually bolt down to , should answer your question "not very bloody likely , but stranger things have happened " the strength this plate provides is from the "box" it creates with the outer edge perimeter of the factory gate . The attachment points inside the gate are very "Mickey mouse "

Lots of luck trying to use it to straighten a bent one . Will probably just fuck up the inner attachment brackets

A buddy sent me this pattern and told me to order some diamond plate - then cut my own............. Haven't tried it yet, probably will make one out of cardboard or paper first.Aluminum Cover Pattern.jpg

I figure with the aluminum cover, you will still need one of the steel caps to finish it off.

I put a Mobtown on mine, feels like a real tailgate now. After the skin I put my stock plastic back on, then my bedrug, feels sweet.

Some how I haven't bent mine yet.

I've had 3 full grown adults setting on mine at once.
    I don't recommend it that......

I regularly have 2 adults on mine at about 325 lbs. No damage yet.

I used to weigh about 180 lbs. I stood on mine all the time.
I even jumped on it before I knew better. So far all is fine.
