I have a Toyo AT2's that are only a year old and are already showing cracks in between the tread blocks. I've had tires in the past that have had cracking and dry rot but only after a few years, these are still nearly new. I'll try to post some pictures later but how many cracks or how much dry rot is acceptable?

I wonder if you could post a picture of your tire/tires. As you know, tires in bad condition could be very serious. Don't go far or fast on truck tires with dry rot. I just had to replace two tractor tires on a John Deere 3020, one front tire and one back tire, because of dry rot. The price for both tires plus labor was just under $1000.00  At least it wasn't the big tractor that needed new shoes. Would have been at least double that. I've heard UV rays cause a lot of dry rot problems.

I'm definitely going to post some pictures, tomorrow I'm driving over to the shop I bought them from. Only 1 year old is unacceptable to me for any type of cracking at all, especially in between the tread in the center of the tires.

If it makes you feel any better I'm running a set of 2008 or so mud kings, there's cracks in the tread more than 1/4 inch deep. I've put 8,000 miles on them this summer with no problems. They have way too much life left to justify chucking them. I ran tires from 1998 on my crown Vic for a while. That was a gamble though. Those were really bad

Finally had some time to take pictures, still haven't gone to the shop yet. What do you think? All 4 look like this over the entire width of the tire.

What is the manufacture date stamp on the tires?

Maybe they were sitting around in a warehouse for a few years before being sold to you.

The date code is 1413, so they were made in early 2013, right? They were installed on April of last year so a little more than a year of use.

Mine were worse than that and I drove with cracks for 2 years, guy I sold my tires to put them on his truck and when he set it on the ground one blew. I got lucky. It's all dependent on if you're willing to risk them potentially failing.
