Just bought a 2015 TRD sport dclb. How many ton floor jack do I need? Also how high do I need the floor jack to go to get wheels off?

I use a three ton Hybrid steel / aluminum floor jack with a lift height of 18.5 inches.

2 ton lifts my dclb easily.

I avoid placing a jack under the diff, YMMV. I place them directly under the rear shock.

    **Edit... i think it's a 3 ton

My OCD fear is the weight of the truck is being point loaded where the axles go into the pumpkin. Peeps do it, but I always cringe to myself when I see a shop do it.

    The unthinkable

Yeah, I know, but the load of the truck when on the ground is at each axle 8 ish inches in from the wheels.

I still feel it's not the end of the world to jack there. I never heard of anyone snapping their axles off of the diff from jacking, but I'm OCD with shit like that j/k :D

Get this one: It has a large lift range, 2.63" to 23.75", so it'll work on cars and high enough to reach your truck's frame (or rock sliders when you get them).

I have a 5 ton model. Once you use one of these jacks, you will never go back to floor jacks.

I have to say. People think nothing spending $2k on tires and wheels and they are outdated in 5 years. Spend $2k on a lift that will usable for your life time. If you are on this site, there is a good chance you like to wrench. Your back and knees will thank you. Get a lift.

I've been using an Arcan 3.5 ton jack from Costco. The all steel construction weighs a ton, but it's semi-low profile and lifts higher than most other jacks I've seen.

I have a 9'-4" ceiling. Would that model fit with my ceiling height?
