How much gas does the tank hold?

It comes on when there is 4 gallons remaining in the tank. The miles before you run out depends on your gas mileage! Tacomas all have 21 gallon tanks, but with mileages from 12-26+? MPG (2WD/4WD/AUTO/MANUAL/4 cyl./V-6/ Single Cab to Double Cab).

 

Don't need to estimate, just fill up as soon as you can after the light comes on... the pump will tell you how many gallons: You put 17 in, for example, 21-17=4.

 

I know how to add and subtract. The light does not always come on at the same exact time. Sometimes my light will come on and after I park it shuts back off. It's definitely not an accurate way to measure.

So, does 3rd Gens follow the same fuel tank rules as the 2nd Gens?
