Crazy thing I only use metric to talk about liquids. I buy metal or wood, use imperial. Tools, imperial. Its a good system, I cant imagine buying a 4' x 8' piece of sheet metal in centimeters. But at the gas station it only reads liters. A can of beer 335ml.

Cant change now its in my head.

I have to give you guys some respect though. Pretty much the whole world is metric and you guys keep going with imperial. It is pretty amazing.

Yes reid, i am pretty amazing. I already knew that but thanks for the compliment. I think i speak for the rest of America whan i say.... we'll convert to the metric system when the rest of the world learns to speak English. But until then we use gallons of gas and 200/1000's sockets.... whatever that means

Ha, I support you fully, but the first thing that comes to mind is that English is not even in the top three languages spoken world wide.

The second is that you called it English and not American. Come on man. Your already starting to lose the battle.

Sorry had to do it, its early in the morning and I still have a sence of humour.

I was wondering the same thing. And after filling up 4-5 times right after the light comes on I came up with 3 gallons consistantly. Hope this helps you.

The fuel warning light comes on when you have 3 gallons left in the tank.

With a 2.7L that approx another 75 miles till empty.
NEVER run a fuel injected engine dry. Repriming the system is hard,
plus the fuel acts as a lubricant for the injectors. Run um dry and
    you risk damanging them.

On my last 3 attempts when the fuel warning light came on I got:

    1st tank was 416 miles - 18 gallons @ 23.11 mpg

    2nd tank was 438 miles - 18 gallons @ 24.33 mpg

    3rd tank was 453 miles - 18 gallons @ 25.30 mpg

    2.7L 50% city/50% country roads.
