How much ($) into your 1st gen from start to finish

    So far:
    • Purchase: $8,000 + tax. Can't remember how much that was.
    • Oil change - $50
    • Timing belt + AC compressor - $524
    • Radiator hoses - $21
    • Radiator hose clamps - $25 (inc. shipping)
    • Coolant - $60
    • Differential oil - $113
    • Driveline grease - $10
    • Fuel - $210.34
    • Vehicle property tax - $18.34
    • Registration - $14.00
    • ATF (power steering pump) - $10
    • R134a evac - $90

    Can't be bothered splitting out insurance from my Mazda. Grand total = $9,145.68, or ~$7.77 per mile.

    Number will definitely go up in the short term, because I'd not be surprised if it needs LBJs, but on the other hand, there are definitely tool marks on the bolts, so they might be pretty new, and it wouldn't be a surprise if they don't need replacing. Just going to have to test em.

    Since I posted this in 2018 I’ve added:

    -DIY camper - $10k
    -Used front King coil overs -$900
    -I blew up the rear diff (broke a lot of stuff at the same time) so decided to regear to 4.88 and added a front locker -$4800k
    2015 BMW 435i seats $700
    Other things.
    Oh, I added a daily driver in 2019 for $13k.
