guys, hope this isnt a violation of the rules, i just know theres alot of 1st Gen'ers here with a wealth of knowledge.. I was just curious how much this truck might be worth? i was considering getting a newer Tacoma, but i would have to sell my 00 first..

2000 tacoma, Black, 220k, BABIED! Exterior paint is 8.5-10, Interior is clean and no rips, but carpet is a lil dirty. Drives tight for the miles (all highway)

    Windows Tinted

    OEM Black Rear Bumper
    new OEM front grill

I think you should put it up for 9k. The engine on these things are amazing. Just make sure the ball joints are good, and see what they sell for around your area. I could sell mine for about 8k if I wanted to. 210k miles, and the outside is dinged up but the engine sounds amazing. Just a thought.

Oh, and it's hard to find good quality tacos around here in Portland. They're either really old or really beat up. Good ones are held on to.

I'd say you'd be spot on with $6500, just be ready for some low ball prices. People try way to hard to get people to come down on the price.

I don't know, if you ever wanted to go aftermarket or anything. Did you paint it or it came like that?

I'd say 5k at most.... the miles will scare people no matter how well you say its been taken care of....because almost everyone says that the vehicle has been well taken care of when they sell it. Also, the fact that its a single cab and only 2wd, its not going to be desireable to a lot of people.

FWIW, standard cab doesnt mean anything... I actually seeked out a regular cab, because i think extendeds and doublecabs look like crap.. Its just preference..

Do all the people you mention above have 10 years of maintenence records? :)

I think overall, extended cabs are much more popular than regular cabs...so you are correct that it is a preference, but your buying pool is going to be a lot smaller, basically meaning its worth less.

And you are right that not everyone has 10 yrs worth of maintenance records... but the miles are what they are, people put a ton of weight into that even if its been maintained perfectly.

Hey, maybe I'm wrong, I guess we'll see when you get it sold.
