I paid 20k after tax, title and license fees for my 06 Prerunner TRD OR with 60k back in 2009. More than I wanted to pay but it was worth it since I was getting the Toyota Certified Pre-Owned warranty.

OP, I don't think any of us actually addressed some of the q's you asked, as far as maintenance and problems, i'm just over 100K on my prerunner, and had to do wheel bearing and u joints, motor is still running perfect though

I picked up my 07 DCLB 4x4 in December for 18,500 inclusive of tax and tags. 28,000 miles and spotless. Deals are there if you are willing to search and possibly travel.

Thanks for the replies. I wont be buying for another 8 months, I'm currently in Afghanistan. I'd be willing to pay a little more, Im looking to spend 15k cash and finance about 5k. I'm located in the Savannah Ga area, these trucks seem to be more expensive here.

Depending on where the OP lives his post is spot on for price.
$18k is what I was seeing for 06-08 prerunner TRD's with 80-100k miles.
    Noone in california was cheaper.

My 08 DCSB TRD sport 4x4 6spd w/ about 90k when I bought it and paid 19k for it. Cant say im the bit least disappointed. The truck was practically spotless and I got a 12k/1yr warranty... I honestly can say there isnt a thing bad about buying a tacoma w/ a 100k aslong as its super clean and well tooken care of bottom line. Im at 100k now and still feels like a new truck. Even after offroading almost every weekend not a problem :D
