Oh boy, seeing all the numbers, I'm waiting for what I'm going get in one year. Though I suspect it will just be a tad more than my last car.

Lowest I had in California was 47 dollars for a 1966 F-150. Sale price was a dollar. :D At least on paper.

I don’t think anyone joins the Marine Corps during a time of war for the pay and benefits. I’ve never met anyone at least.

Yeah, it’s insane! Politics aside, California is gonna pull a New York and tax everyone away.

$85 per year in Montgomery County, TN. Personalized costs me an extra $25 so $110 including wheel tax.

I was born and raised in SoCal but I couldn't get out of that taxation state fast enough. I left when I was 42 and never looked back.

Unfortunately it's mostly California based builders that are moving up here doing most of the building. Sure the Oregon builders are getting in on the huge money being made and I don't blame them but to say don't build it and they wont come is absurd.

Whatever the reason a person joins (God and Country, steady paycheck, travel and training), the point is they served their Country. How is a military member getting promoted any different than a civilian getting promoted and a raise at work? I also know plenty of people who change companies because pay and benefits are better at XYZ Corp vs 123 Inc. I got education benefits from civilian employers as well. So today's military vs civilian employment comes down to deployments (how many, where, how long, Combat Zone?) and the fact that you can quit your civilian job whenever you feel like it. I did 30 years in the Navy as a Combat Photographer, two Iraq deployments, JSOTF Philippines, Indonesian tsunami in 2004 and with the exception of my back and constant ringing in my ears, I think I came out pretty good compared to others. So I have no complaints and I thank servicemen and women all the time. They didn't have to choose the military. They just did.

Oregonians set the land use policy, review and approve building permits. To say that people from another state are responsible for building in Oregon is absurd.

I left California 6 yrs ago myself....one of the main reasons was the never ending taxation....car reg was around $300 back then circa 2012
now its $500ish....soon it will be $1000 I suspect
but the average Californian (usually located in the bay area or LA area) is brainwashed into believing this is normal, & good for California
they start the brainwashing early, sometime between preschool & 1st grade

    lets do some math -
if there are 10 million registered vehicles in cali at $500/auto/year that equals $5,000,000,000 per year for the state
    thats $5 BILLION a year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(BTW, i just checked & there are 14.5 million cars reg'd in cali ATM)

how come the media never brings up these interesting facts

have folks forgotten why america was created? over-taxation/overreach by the ruling class!
