How Much Movement?

Ok so Flame away, but I don't know..I'm 56 years old and this is the first and only Automatic transmission I have ever owned in my new 2105 Tacoma. This morning in the garage I leaned on the back of the truck and it moved forward. It was not running and it was in park. My question is how much movement is the truck suppose to have in park? I can push it forward or back an inch or two when in park before the transmission catches and stops it.

 

It's totally normal.

Just make sure your parking brake is applied tight enough to take the load off the tranny if your on an incline.

 

How did you get a 2105 Tacoma ? Mine is 2008. Did they change the body style ?

 

Use the parking brake and it won't move at all, every auto I've ever had has been like that. It's not unique to the tacoma.
