In Canada I buy a 5L jug (5.2qts) and that fills within the acceptable range and never had any issues.

Still the Fumoto valve is worth it, makes the OC alittle easier

    Workin' on it....
100% agree. Even if it takes a bit longer or isn't a complete a drain as normal, no way I'd go back to not using one.

OEM filters for my 4.0L, always just used a 5qt jug, sits just below the full mark, never an issue.

Also protip on reading oil level. Warm motor, park it, pop the hood, pull the dipstick out, let the truck sit for 15 min or so, then take a reading, also scuffing up the end of the dipstick helps.

Where is here? That's a killer deal. The best I have found here, is 5q and filter for $35.

for me 5 1/4 seems to fill perfectly. The fact that almost all my power equipment takes 5-30 presents no problem, I always have a partly filled 5 qt jug that gets used whether it be for the tacoma or something else.

Currently you can get a 5qt jug of 0w-30 or 5w-30 full syn from walmart for 22.88 and then go to mobil 1 and get a $12 MIR. Or buy a 3 pack from walmart for 21.80/each and make it even cheaper.

I usually put 5.5 qts in and that puts the oil level at the top marking on my dip stick.
Next week or so when I change my oil, I’m going to put only 5 in and see where that puts me on the dip stick. I’m thinking just 5 will show right in the middle on the dip stick. If that’s the case I will stick with 5.

If I change oil using 5qt. and an OEM filter, then check it the next morning (after all oil has drained down) my '06 1GRFE will be EXACTYLY on the full mark. Manual says do not overfill for a reason.
