I've been reading a lot of threads but still a little unclear. I want to add 285/70/17 tires (currently running 265/70r17) but I'm trying to limit rubbing, avoid spacers and keep trimming to a minimal. I do have an AllPro Apex bumper so rubbing in the front fender should not be a problem. I also have Toytec adjustable coil-overs set at 2.5". My biggest question is my wheels:

    KMC Enduro's (http://www.kmcwheels.com/wheels/XD122/XD1227/techsheet)
    17x9
    offset -6
    bs 4.76

Will these wheels help of hinder the trimming/rubbing amount? If it requires a lot of trimming or spacers will a 255/80/17 be a better option?

Do your tires rub now? Have you trimmed any?

That backspacing is going to cause the wheel to rub on the uca slightly with 285's if you don't want spacers tmor new wheels get the 255s or possibly consider a 275 70 17

Honestly, you are going to need to chop some of the body mount. Like others have said, if they claim you are going to need spacers, my guess you will need to trim some of that fender and pound some pinch welds like I did. AND no more front flaps. I love the 285s but it came with a lot of work to fit them with my new wheels. I have sliders that stopped some shit getting flung up on to the cab but they still do and I can see the paint going in the future......my bet if you want to prevent all of that go with a 255 or stick with the 265.

No rubbing with current tires. Mudflaps removed from front already. I'm looking into doing a BMC soon. Might just go with the 255's to make life easier.
