That would be the best way to do it, take off the mods and return it to stock.

You can cancel the extra insurance and get a refund. Dealer trade you would be around 40k maybe, private sale 45 maybe

Man these “hOw MuCh iS mY tRUcK WOrTh?” threads are getting annoying. It’s like there’s a new one every single day.

edit: also what is “off roaders insurance” and why do I not believe that it is a real thing offered by a dealer?

So you have windshield insurance, "off roader's" insurance, and a Toyota platinum plan? If you really want a Tundra and are trading at the dealer, take off all the mods, cancel all the insurance. Take the pro-rated refunds on the insurance, sell the mods separately, trade the truck as close to stock as possible. If you are selling privately you'll probably get more value canceling all that insurance and taking refunds than any potential increase in sales price from transferring them. Be realistic and don't expect that $10k in mods = $10k in increased value.

If on the other hand you just want to see how far you can ride this crazy resale market and don't necessarily want to trade unless you get your price, list it for whatever you want and see what happens. Who knows, maybe some crazy person with more money than sense will fall in love with the truck.

Overpriced due to the extra warranty crap that OP overpaid for. Hopefully they can find someone else naive enough to buy the warranty from them, but if it was me, I'd cancel that shit with the dealer get what I can out of it then sell it or trade it in.

This is why you don't buy that crap. It's not worth it. I'd love to see the details on this extra warranty and how much it added to the OTD cost.

Better off selling everything extra they put on the truck, canceling the extra crap with the dealer, then trading in. And the dealer does NOT need to know why you are canceling the warranties and extra crap. None of their business.

Crazy seeing trucks go for for this much money. This is the exact reason I bought used back in September after a tree crushed my 1st gen. Paid 27 for a 15 with 36 thousand miles oppposed to 40+ for a 21. You would have to be pretty crazy to walk into a dealership for a truck right now. I hope you get what you're after, the truck you have now is a nice one. If you're trading it in, obviously try to get the most out of it.

It may only pay out if damage occurs as the result of a stampede of wild elephants crossing your path between 3:55 and 4:00 pm, on the 4th of July, during a hail storm...

So basically the same as every warranty ever, lol.

This dealer is raking in it's victims with this package. Cuz "off-road"... I'd love to see them back it up.

It's an offroad warranty, it will cover EVERYTHING that could go wrong or break when offroading.
Destroyed transfer case when bashed against bolder? Covered!
Destroyed engine when oil starved climbing at extreme angles for hours? Covered!
Wait, you drove it on a paved road to get there? Sorry that voids your warranty.

I found carvana offered a little more than carmax but I would get quotes from several companies.

    Since you asked :)
At $45.5 you overpaid for a base OR.
That said, used prices are crazy right now. Maybe you can recoup. But $53K? Well maybe someone else will overpay too.

Suggest to skip the trouble of selling privately.

Just trade it for the Tundra you want. Be aware, the mods won't add any value to the truck. Sure, it adds value to YOU and drains YOUR wallet. But the next buyer likely doesn't want YOUR mods. Strip it back to stock. Sell the add-ons on CL or FB or Fleecebay.

That all depends on what the $45.5k includes.
    Does it include sales tax?
Does it include registration / DMV fees?
Does that include "required" dealer markups?

The "sale price" and the "out-the-door price" are two different things...

Not enough bandwidth on the internet to list.
Please list it on craigslist. I'd like to come over, kick the tires, drive it around and maybe grab a snack, burn about an hour and a half of your time talking about my cat, then offer you $33k before I leave.
