They replaced 4 axles a transmission and a torque converter. Just FYI in case you go buy a new one and are offered Platinum insurance.

ITs called Toyota platinum. I got it because anything that you might break out on the trail is covered by Toyota (except the body). I know, too good to be true, except I had it on my last truck and they replaced 4 axles a transmission and a torque converter at no additional cost to me. Definitely worth it IMO.

That example is a little extreme, but it is what I understood when I came in with 2 broken axles and they told me it would be covered under my Toyota Platinum insurance.

ITs in all Toyota dealerships. Ask about the Toyota Platinum.

It's just an extended warranty. They replaced the parts despite you breaking them off road. Not because you had come special off road policy.

Yes and no. Yes you are making money. No because you are gonna overpay on the back end of your deal. Unless you find yourself in a beater for the next few years and market settles and finds its way back to normal prices, only people benefitting are the dealerships

I would've gotten that down in writing. So much of that is subjective and interpretered by the service advisor or service manager. Then it becomes a he said she said he did she did BS. That's why I never get ins. 1 I don't want them touching my shit. And 2 I don't want them touching my shit

If you drive thru water and damage your engine will they replace as well? Where do they draw the line...

Wait,..... So you've already had the transmission, torque converter, and 4 axle shafts replaced in 7500 miles????

That's gonna drop your resale value significantly even if it was replaced under warranty by Toyota. I guarantee most looking to buy that type of truck will pass on it because of the repairs and look for another truck if not a new one.

Also, you're profile pic shows the truck absolutely caked in mud too. A buyer is going to think you didn't take care off the truck and abused it. :mudding::boink:

Oh, I see. However, the profile pic still shows this truck caked in mud up to the frame. :mudding::boink:

I'm going to revise my estimate from 40-42k to 35-38k. :p

Are you saying that you had your truck towed in with both axles broken, not from mechanical failure but from beating it up off road, and they replaced everything no charge to you? Sorry, I’m still a little hesitant to believe such a plan exists. Not meaning to offend you at all, it’s just my experience with dealers over the years has been quite different.
