My dealer is quoting me $349.05 per wheel plus installation fees and tax for TRD Pro wheels. What do you think of that price?

Expensive as in the wheels are expensive themselves or the dealer price that they gave me is expensive?

Pretty sure you can get them from one of the vendors on here for around $230 each

Great. Never modified any of my cars in the past so have no experience whatsoever. Once I get the wheels from a vendor, I just bring them to a local tire shop to have them installed?

Sorry for the short answer. I meant your dealership is jacking up the price because their pro wheels. Look around online they should around 200 each

Yup! Have them switch your rubber and tpms sensors from your old rims to the new.

Alot of guys in this forum don't care for the TRD pro rims because they're shiny black.

You may also want to consider the TRD 4runner rims which seem to be way more popular.

Don't forget to factor in shipping. Wheels are relatively heavy.

Thought all the TRD Pro wheels were the same. I like the set up on your car. Which Pro wheels are you running?

    Like, so many.
There are tons of awesome after market wheels too. So unless you just really want the Pro wheels take a look at like the Level 8 MK 6. Those are very popular with Tacoma owners. There's a whole thread on them.

Why spend this much on heavy, cast oem wheels when you can get some forged aftermarket ones for the same price or less???

I assume he like the look of the wheel and oem look and more importantly it's his money.

So let's assume $161 each + $20 shipping (not sure if that shipping price is per wheel or total, so let's say total).
For $664 I can get you or whoever some 16x8J -3, 6-lug vintage forged wheels from Japan. You'll need to refurbish them a bit, but that's nothing someone who likes DIY projects can't do themselves.

I recently priced the T4R Trail wheels from the dealer. 1800 for four, not including center caps or lugs.

Are the OEM wheels really that much heavier than most aftermarket?
