Depends on our 12 year old German Shepherd. We have a deck outside the master bedroom. Some nights he goes out onto the deck to sleep when it's hot and drink water. Other times to go down the stairs to do his business. Lately at age 12 he can't get back up the stairs and whines to be let back in. So we have go downstairs to let him in the house. It's like having children all over again. Hard to get upset at the Old Guy. A good nights sleep is an undisturbed sleep. 8 hours at best, but not often.
Wouldn't have it any other way..

And therein lies my problem. 4 spinal fusion surgeries since 2014. Like you, I wake up in pain and have to get out of bed. Problem is, this gets really tiresome, and only sleeping for 2 hrs at a time really sucks. Every now and then, I'll sleep for 6-8 hours because of what I call chronic fatigue.

4-5 and wake several times in those hours. I’m 54 but always had sleep issues.

Three years to retirement and hope sleep improves

I retired from the FD when I was 48. I battle insomnia almost every night. If I go to bed before 2am? That’s unusual. After a career on the busiest Truck Company in the south the memories creep back in when I lay down. I’m lucky if I get 4-5 hrs.

I feel for you. My eldest daughter has anxiety and she talks about how it quite a bit.

When I think about suspenses/assignments I have to meet at work, sometimes that keeps me awake. I'm anxious to get to work and I don't want to disappoint.

Lots of variables associated with anxiety!

speaking of sleep, I think it's time to hit the sack. I stayed up late on purpose, hoping maybe I'll sleep to 6:00 am when the alarm goes off. We'll see.

Anywhere from 3-12 hrs, but I probably average 7hrs. My wife hates me for my ability to sleep.

my kids don’t sleep past 7 so no matter when I go to sleep I’m up by 7.

31 years young, 3 month old, rocking the 4-5 but at odd hours.. like ya know a couple hours before the alarm goes off so you can't really fall back to sleep fully. :)

Going on 6 years without a day off.

Since the pandemic began they closed out downtown office and we work from home.

I sleep 12 hours a day now and I still wake up tired.

52 here. 4 hours and 6 if I'm lucky. I'm a firm believer in going to bed at the same time each night. It seems to help.
