Yeah if you're not spending crazy amounts on rolls, then it doesnt hurt anything. And the added weight isnt dramatic.

But from a vibration and sound perspective, it does nothing to help when more is added.

CCF I used adhered better to the aluminium backing of the deadener.
So I did 90%, cause I wanted the large coverage of CCF for thermal insulation.

I initially did 50% of the butyl layer for the doors, but there is an audible difference between 50% and 90%.

If you add a Closed Cell Foam layer, it creates a thermal insulation.
Cool in the summer, Warmish in the winter.

Another advice, if you are planning to do the headliner, do it at the same time you do your floor.

You cannot take out the headliner with the seats in the vehicle.
Since you would have to remove your seat to do the floor, that would be the best time to do the headliner also.
Headliner can be dropped in 30 minutes.

I was kidding, based on him saying “keep the truck cool.”

I will probably add the Noico red down the road. Just doing the deadner for now.

I recommend 315mil headliner, keeps that crazy summer heat out.
Living on a tropical island, all year round is a scorcher, truck would be a sauna at high noon.

Also barely notice the rain now.

Maybe I should have said Tacoma. Those full sized trucks are really sweet. Just too big for me.

I'll take the seats out again. It's minimal extra work really.

Ye, it is not difficult to remove the seats.

    But knowing me,
the least amount of times to do it is best.

By myself, which I did, had an extremely hard time putting the front seats back in, while trying to avoid hittIng the body and destroying the paintwork.

    2x out and 2x in,
that is 4 times an "accident" could have occured.

I do not like increasIng the chances of me really messing things up.

    If you have a buddy,
that would help avoid a lot of problems.

Try getting a bench seat in and out. No way you can do it by yourself, and it's still difficult with a 13 year old helping. :annoyed:

I thought the rear bench seats were the easiest part, all together 4 seperate pieces, and they just slide in and out.
It was what actually gave me false hope that everything else was going to be just as easy....

Also no large fixed metal railings with somewhat sharp edges that jut out that can turn your truck into modern art.

Yeah, I'm not sure about the back seat but getting past the shifter and steering wheel was a little tough for the 13 year old. I'm 60 and crawling through the cab was not an option for me.

    Oh regular cab?
I just saw pictures of the interior,
Ye would have a hard time doing it alone at getting the one piece out.

Buy a truck. A Lexus is obviously not your vehicle.

Has anyone here done MLV? If so, where did you get it? Amazon has less than savory prices, and the other place referenced in another thread is also pricy...about $220 for 100 Sq ft. SDS calls for 75 Sq ft.

I was going to do Noico black at about 25% coverage all over, followed by total coverage of some neoprene as CCF and an MLV layer on top. For the roof, only thing that changes is some 315 mil Noico red in lieu of CCF. I think that should do it, right? Should I put some Noico red anywhere else?
